TAKE A TRIP: DC2NY Brilliantly Takes You To the Delaware Beaches & Remember, DC2NY Goes to Washington D.C.! The Best Bus Around.

We first started working with DC2NY in 2011:

and we worked again with them earlier this year:

You should feel even better about this post, because a lot of brands get written about once  (if we only write about something once-you might want to wonder about them).  Not as many twice.  Even fewer three times...

DC2NY is famously known for being the best way to get from New York to Washington DC by bus, but did you know they can also get you to a beach?

Of course, literally the world comes to Manhattan.  We just hung up the phone with a new friend in Europe (we met here in Manhattan not long ago).
Manhattan has almost everything.

The one thing it does not have that we want is a beach.

If you have a beach, we want to hear from you.

We thought after 15,000 posts, Peachy needed to sit on a beach (where she would still work, reviewing books of course and testing out the latest and greatest by Eco Swim.) Though she once went to a Nascar race in Dover, she has not spent time in Delaware before so since Richard Green likes Rehoboth, we thought we might like it too. There is one place that DC2NY goes that is not DC or NY and that is Rehoboth.   What is Rehoboth?  All we cared is that it had a beach and we had the best way to get there:

We also found out that Rehoboth has great fish and chips by Alison (get excited to read about that), so if you like London and you like the beach, you will like Rehoboth too.
DC2NY is superbly clean, and a genuinely enjoyable traveling experience.  How many buses can you say that about?  And the drivers know what they are doing.  The ride is smooth and not jerky like horrible crosstown MTA buses can be here in Manhattan that leave you praying that Richard's bus company will take over the MTA.
One great thing to do on this corner is go to a Rangers game.  Another great thing is to board DC2NY:

When you board, a host will take a vote on whether the guests want a movie or quiet, and the guests want to take a short stop on the way down or drive straight.  We like the democracy employed here.  However, we are pleased to say every time we have taken DC2NY, it has been quiet and direct, which is the way we always vote.
We love that they give you bottled water.  These little things in life make a difference.  We like trade shows that give us water too.  No one likes to be dehydrated and it's not a good idea healthwise either of course.
The driver did a great job and did not drive too fast and did not drive too slow.  We made one stop in Wilmington:
We left New York at 4:30pm and got to Rehoboth at about 9:15pm.  The only traffic was getting out of New York, but that happens to everyone.  You will be dropped off behind the Rehoboth Fire Station:

And that is also where you will get the bus back to New York.  It left at 7:30pm and made great time back to New York-a very smart travel time.  But we would expect nothing less from this brand-they are smart.
Our esteemed panelist had his first DC2NY experience. He adds:
For a New York City resident, a trip to the beach during the summer months is a dream that rarely turns into reality. It can be so difficult to find a nice beach nearby, and any beaches worth going to are always a headache to get to. Now, bus company DC2NY has made it incredibly easy to escape the city for a week or weekend getaway at the beautiful beaches of Rehoboth or Dewey in Delaware. In just over 4 hours, you can be strolling down Rehoboth Avenue passing by cute cafes and bookstores, lively restaurants and bars, and quaint shops and homes. The best part lies at the end of the street: the beach! The crashing waves, soft sand, and bright sunshine will take your mind lightyears away from the city you left behind. You might think that Delaware is just too far from New York to be worth the trip, but if you use DC2NY as your mode of transportation, the journey itself is part of the vacation. I have never experienced a more pleasant bus ride. Time flew by in this quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I had a smile on my face from the moment I was handed a complimentary bottle of water as I boarded the bus until the moment I stepped into the lovely beachside town. Not a sound could be heard on the bus during the entire trip, allowing the passengers to rest and relax, read, or finish up some work, since the bus comes equipped with free WiFi and power outlets. The seats are soft, clean, and comfortable, and the ride was unbelievably smooth. It was as if I hopped on a cloud and rode it all the way to Delaware! The driver was professional, friendly, and an excellent driver. This was the best bus ride I have ever taken, and one of the most pleasant travel experiences I've had. I look forward to my next trip to Delaware, not just for the destination, but also for the bus ride down!
