BOSTON BRUINS BREAKING NEWS AS TOLD TO NHL PEACHY: BOSTON BRUINS RECALL RYAN SPOONER FROM PROVIDENCE


Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, October 31, that the team has recalled Ryan Spooner from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League). Spooner will join the team Thursday and be eligible to play in Thursday night’s game against the Anaheim Ducks (7:00 p.m. at TD Garden).

The 21-year-old Spooner has skated in eight games this season for Providence and has tallied two goals and five assists for seven points, which ranks second on the team. Spooner led the P-Bruins in scoring last season with 59 points on 17 goals and 40 assists in 59 regular season games played. 

During the 2012-13 season, the 5’11’’, 181-pound native of Ottawa, Ontario played in four NHL games with Boston, including his NHL debut on February 6, 2013. 

The Bruins drafted Spooner in the second round (45th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
