Audi R8 LMS race teams kick-off 2015 season at Rolex 24 in Daytona

Paul Miller Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsports look to compete in the 53rd running of the Daytona 24 hour race. Both race teams bring considerable endurance racing experience to the effort with a total of four 24 hour race winners taking the wheel.

The Audi customer-racing teams, Paul Miller Racing and Flying Lizard Motorsports will kick-off the 2015 Tudor United SportsCar Championship season at the 53rd Daytona 24 hour race classic. The teams will compete as part of the 19 vehicle GTD class with 54 vehicles in total on the grid. Audi won the Daytona 24 hour race two years ago as part of the GRAND-AM series. Paul Miller Racing was able to find success with a contentious 2nd place finish following last year’s race as well as taking their first victory at Road Atlanta last year. Flying Lizard placed second at Laguna Seca and has shown a strong ability to compete for the podium.

The driver line-up features multiple 24 hour race winners that have either won at Daytona or other notable endurance races around the globe. The teams/drivers are made-up as follows:

Paul Miller Racing will race the full season with Christopher Haase and Dion von Moltke at the wheel while Flying Lizard plans to compete at select races as part of the United SportsCar Championship. With the new R8 GT3 specification car expected to arrive in time for next race season, teams are looking to bridge the gap until the new car arrives.

The opening race of the Tudor United SportsCar Championship in Daytona will commence this Saturday, January 24th at 2:10pm EST and will conclude after 24 hours of racing on one of the most epic race tracks in the US. The full 24 hours of the race will be made available for viewing across multiple platforms:
