Double digits we believe are good luck, and eleven happens to be Peachy Deegan's favorite number so we couldn't wait to crack open 11th hour by one of our favorite authors, James Patterson. The Women's Murder Club is back, and we are going back in time to review the books we have not yet in this series. We also loved the book The Secret Garden from our childhood, but the secret garden inbetween these pages is an entirely different matter. Who are the protagonists and who are the antagonists?  When there's an undercover cop, that only adds to the gray areas that you sort out in your head during this page turner. Gold in peace, Iron in war...
Take a break, sit down, and pick up this book for a fast- paced Women's Murder Club installment. Written by James Patterson with Maxine Paetro, the series #11, called aptly enough The Eleventh Hour, pulls us back into the lives of this group of professional women who get themselves embroiled in the most bizarre crime- solving exploits. As the ladies of our police force, justice system and the press, these hands-on characters will snare you, too. If you've not yet become familiar with the various collaborations with Mr. Patterson, it's time to tread the boards. This episode is easly read as a stand-alone, but so much more fun once you've become introduced to Lindsay, Yuki, Claire and Cindy. It's a West Coast rollercoaster ride, with San Francisco as a backdrop, and murder as the theme of the day.

Plus, what's not to love about a narrator and main character that says:
"I'd committed to being a career homicide detective. I had to be better than good. I had to be excellent." -Lindsay Boxer (p. 92)

Now that is a character to get into! Whom You Know recommends 11th Hour.

Detective Lindsey Boxer is pregnant--and investigating the discovery of severed heads in a movie star's garden.

Your best friend Lindsay Boxer is pregnant at last! But her work doesn't slow for a second. When millionaire Chaz Smith is mercilessly gunned down, she discovers that the murder weapon is linked to the deaths of four of San Francisco's most untouchable criminals. And it was taken from her own department's evidence locker. Anyone could be the killer--even her closest friends. Lindsay is called next to the most bizarre crime scene she's ever seen: two bodiless heads elaborately displayed in the garden of a world-famous actor. Another head is unearthed in the garden, and Lindsay realizes that the ground could hide hundreds of victims. You won't know until the 11th hour. A reporter launches a series of vicious articles about the cases and Lindsay's personal life is laid bare. But this time she has no one to turn to--especially not Joe. 11TH HOUR is the most shocking, most emotional, and most thrilling Women's Murder Club novel ever.
