We have been highly recommended by Whom You Know:
Maine Woolens, affordable luxury and tradition.
Bagels are a staple of Manhattan life, and one of the best venues we've found is Bagel Boss.
We also applaud their patriotism!
Bagel Boss was first featured in 2013:
And, we were delighted to return.  We began with Peachy's favorite way to have a bagel: with scallion cream cheese!  It was delicious, chewy and exactly as you'd want a bagel to be.  Bagels are the very first thing on the menu of course, and we count over 15 choices.  For spreads, look at the middle column under "Bagels with a Schmear".

A popular classic combination is the Smoked Atlantic Nova Salmon, which is masterfully triumphant!  The smoked salmon is divine and paired with the traditional red onion, lettuce, tomato and cream cheese on a bagel, it becomes a feast!  Don't forget the pickle.
This would be great to pack in a summer picnic, and you should know that Bagel Boss is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on First Avenue between 15th and 16th.  They're much more gourmet and in-depth than the typical bagel shop, and have been open since 2008.
That shows you just some of the items we did not get a chance to try!
The pickiest person will find something to like here.
Bagel Boss makes five varieties of soup every day and we tried the Lentil, which was a hearty selection!  It is fantastic company for a bagel if you are going for lunch.
Just as amazing as the bagels is the salad bar, where you have many choices to create your own bespoke salad:
You have four choices of greens, and we chose the Mixed Organic Field Greens.  You have about thirty choices of what you would like to add to your greens, and we selected: grape tomatoes, red onion, broccoli, artichoke hearts and avocado.  Of course, the salad dressing choices are also many and the ranch was put on the side as requested.  We are really impressed with the salad bar choices and depth.

Finally, if you are in the mood for a Panini rather than a bagel, Bagel Boss does Paninis quite well too.  "The Louie" jumped out at us: Fresh mozzarella, tomatoes topped with basil and garlic.  It hit the spot!
