We have been highly recommended by Whom You Know:

Maine Woolens, affordable luxury and tradition.
A success from the start, Bleecker Street Pizza has been wowing the palates of everyone that visits since its takeoff in 2003 by owner Doug Greenwood.

"I try to put out the absolute best product whether it's pizza, a hero or a salad and I push that on my workers.  If it's coming out with the Bleecker Street Pizza name, it has to be the absolute best product we can make."
-Owner Doug Greenwood

This is the third time Bleecker Street Pizza has been featured on Whom You Know, and the third time was indeed a charm.
It was first featured in 2013:
and again in 2015:
We would encourage you to check out the 2015 video!
Remember, the frequency of feature (or not) is a distinct indication of how great a place is.
One must for us in any review is a fresh green salad, and they are extraordinary at Bleecker Street Pizza and far exceed the neighborhood Manhattan pizza place.  Their menu states that all salads are large enough for two, and we would concur.  Five brilliant salad options are presented and we chose the Greek salad, which is superb.  Romaine lettuce, kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, roasted red peppers and stuffed grape leaves are spectacularly fresh: they are made each and every morning.  There is no such thing as old salad here, and what could be better than salad and a pizza (well, we added champagne).
You should know all pizza boasts REAL Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese on every slice, aged two years and officially certified by the family in charge in Italy.  All cheeses are from Italy, and Peachy Deegan chose to add pepperoni, garlic, onions and spinach to their regular pizza.  Every bite is a taste explosion of amazing pizza bespoke according to your specifications, and its origin comes from Doug's maternal grandmother.
Above, meet a slice of grandma Nona Maria's pizza.  She left Tuscany at age 19 and brought the family recipe for this pizza, and her enterprising grandson Doug has not only made it a business but also has made it a vocation.  In meeting him for a second time, it's clear that he is in a small group of Manhattan restaurant owners that is cut-throat about using premium quality ingredients and getting it all right each and every time.
A lot of people think they are like this, but they probably have not met as many restaurant owners as we have.
Under the Pizza, we count nine options also, and additionally, a gluten free.
Options are good and people here want many!
We will have to try a Calzone sometime; we did order an oversized hero, which in Peachy-speak is a grinder (In Connecticut, they are called grinders):
This is no ordinary meatball grinder.
But since when have we been chronicling the ordinary?
Doug and his team craft a Meatball Parmigiana number where homemade meatballs are made fresh, and they are sublime.  The bread is fresh and the cheese is also outstanding.
Every bite is just as standout as their pizza, and even if you don't live on Bleecker Street or even downtown, it's worth a trip... and this group that agrees with us includes the many from both the small screen and the silver screen that sing its praises.  You'll know everyone who has their picture on the wall, all of whom will be wishing they were eating your dinner by Doug Greenwood.
Just delicious.
Bleecker Street Pizza continues to be Terrific Takeout!
