Our first review in Gansevoort Market is what brought us there in the first place: Ponti Rossi.  In the fast casual trend, thank goodness the Italians participate.  Owned by Alessandro Capuano, whom we spoke to prior to the review, Ponti Rossi is a Panini Palace that will delight your tastebuds.  We worked with Matteo, as we found out when we got there that Alessandro was not there for his review!  Matteo was a star.
We began with the Caprese.
Fresh mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, basil pesto and Himalayan pink salt teamed up to support the maxim: Less is More!
It is obvious from first bite that quality ingredients are employed and the bread was perfectly fresh.  It is exactly the kind of bread we want to see in a sandwich and we like our bread fresh and fluffy.  As you notice, we do not count carbs or fat and will exercise to compensate.
A wonderful carnivorous endeavor is the Don Pietro.  It includes one of Peachy's best friends: Prosciutto di Parma D.O.P. and her absolute best friend, mozzarella.  She has not eaten mozzarella in a whole two hours and counting if you include burrata in the category and today she ate wonderful American burrata believe it or not stay tuned for Mr. Brilliant otherwise known as CM.
Arugula is the perfect touch of nutrition and color and it is super fresh too.
This one was definitely our favorite.
Meet Nonna Maria!  Spicy smoked salmon was divine as it swam amongst shaved parmesean, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomatoes and their signature Ponti Rossi sauce: olives, capers, mayo, anchovies and tuna.  It is absolute perfection.
Finally, our Panini expedition concluded with Italiano: Grilled chicken, ham, zucchini with balsamic, and provolone cheese. The quintessential classic quality of each Panini make it a great choice; it all depends on what you are in the mood for.
A classic green salad is a winner with any of these Paninis!
