Today also saw a huge number of popular events taking place at the Fair, from the inauguration of the Market Focus Poland and the Spotlight on India, to the Wellcome Book Prize Shortlist announcement and the opening of the Club at the Ivy, as well as a timely discussion about what Brexit holds for the industry. Authors, as ever, are at the heart of the Fair and we were joined today by some fantastic names, including Ruby Wax, Simon Sebag Montefiore, Zygmunt Miłoszewski, Jacek Dehnel, Bernard Cornwell, Val McDermid, Marzanna Kielar, Gurinder Chadha, David Nicholls and Louise Doughty, to name but a few.”

Meanwhile crowds gathered for the launch of Poland Market Focus, with speeches from Poland’s Vice Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Magdalena Gawin, the Director of the Polish Book Institute, Dariusz Jaworski, LBF Director Jacks Thomas and the CEO of the Publishers Association Steven Lotinga.
