Mission
MusiCares provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. MusiCares' services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies, and each case is treated with integrity and confidentiality. MusiCares also focuses the resources and attention of the music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.

We'd encourage you to watch this video under "Featured Videos", which in being shared during the event was a highly moving and effective method of communicating the mission:

Other musical artists performed prior to U2, who were perfection with Stuck in Moment, Vertigo and I Will Follow.  They epitomize true friendship as evidenced over four decades and if we only listened to U2 and nothing else forever, we would not mind being stuck in that eternal moment.  Adam's speech was highly touching so scoll up and listen to it again; you will appreciate all U2 music that much more and understand how The Recording Academy and MusiCares is so much more than one night of awards annually; their devotion to the music community is constant and you should participate in their charitable work.
