#WhomYouKnow A #PeachysPick Since 2011, #Best #Greek #Restaurant #Manhattan #NewYork @AmmosNewYork Hosts a Smashing Wine Art Dinner @wineartestate @Cava_Oinos

Akis Papadopoulos, Wine Art Estate Owner and Chemist; Peachy Deegan, Dimitris Nakos, Owner of Ammos; Nikolaos Nichoritis, CEO of Cava Oinos

It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Dimitris, and we have since 2011 when Ammos earned a spot in Peachy's Picks.  It was recently lauded in an updated review last month:
You should know the private room at Ammos up the stairs is absolutely spectacular for private events and one of the best we've seen in Manhattan.  This was our first time upstairs.

To Onoma Moy Enai Rodakene!  That means my name is Peachy in Greek and nice to meet you.  The Connecticut Yankee was completely immersed in Greek Culture and this time, we were also introduced to Wine Art Estate that was created in 1995 by Akis's father, Yannis and his architect business partner.  They produce 300,000 bottles a year of red, white and rose and 40% of their business is exports.  Perhaps the Greeks will give the Italians some competition in our Champagne Wishes column...

We look forward to seeing what they all do next; we were initially impressed and will keep you posted as this brand has the chance for a review opportunity.  We tried three single grape varieties and two blends; the 2012 Nebbio Brizola was our favorite; it is similar to our esteemed friend Barolo and is a superior choice with Grilled bone in ribeye steak.
