A Peachy's Pick Since 2014, @PanameNYC #Paname Spring 2018 #Best #CaesarSalad in #Manhattan Says @ManhattanPeachy #PeachyDeegan #PeachysPicks #WhomYouKnow

Majestic Atlantic Salmon Steak
Pictures are not able to do the Caesar Salad justice at Paname.  This is by far the best Caesar salad we have had in Manhattan this year, and the freshness, crispness and delicious factor of the dressing (yes you actually did read that from someone that does not like salad dressing at most places) make this a total winner and the ideal spring dish.
Peachy Deegan and Bernard Ros, founder and owner of Paname
It's not who you know, it's whom you know and the Parisians in New York are most competitive this spring, namely, Bernard Ros!  Absolutely aesthetically motivated, Bernard and his team at Paname graciously greet you into their welcoming French venue, complete with classy French music and a French tv station at the bar.  We love this authenticity, especially since you know who studied French.

Paname was last featured in the Fall of 2017:

and it earned a spot in Peachy's Picks in 2014:
The escargots de Bourgogne in Baby Potatoes are a total must, and we revel in both the creativity and level of deliciousness.

Delicate, decadent and delightful, these little snails will make your day.  We next tired the grilled portobello mushroom with mozzarella, which presents a lovely warm/cold contrast with the warm portobello and cool mozzarella.

Halved cherry tomatoes add to the festivity on the plate anchored by the generous mushroom and inviting pesto.
A new item at Paname is their tremendous lentil salad:
Other places we might roll our eyes at lentil, but the commas/apostrophes alone at Paname sell this dish to us!  This was suggested to us, and we are glad of it because the lentil flavor is outstanding.  We've never seen such hearty lentils presented in such elegance.  A perfect dollop of chevre punctuates this beauty which will ignite your appetite.  Its warm, welcoming and wonderful!
It is exactly what you are looking for in a Caesar salad and you should order at least two more to go because you'll lament its passing in your stomach.  The parmesan is smashing.  Of course they make their own dressing with eggs.  We wish we were eating this right now.

We also commend Paname on its array of appetizers: we count a dozen regular options.  Artichokes Pesto was next in the batting order and it is the ideal appetizer to share.  A terrific concoction of elevated artichokes is enhanced by chipotle sauce that kicks up the wow factor.
We chose the New York Shell Steak au Confit D'Echallottes as our carnivorous entree, and it continues to be amazing! It was grilled to medium rare perfection and note many places are undercooking medium rare but Paname gets it right the first time and we did not have to send it back.  Actually we have never sent anything back at Paname!  The steak is sourced from Bec Fin in upstate New York and D'Echallottes enhanced it perfectly once again.  Not everywhere is as consistent as Paname.

Bathing suit season is upon us which should motivate you even more to eat your vegetables!
From the steamed broccoli above which has just the right touch of garlic to the signature Ratatouille, flavorful with zucchini, red pepper, garlic, eggplant, onion and tomato, the vegetables are just fabulous at Paname.  Order a couple at least as sides.

You will see salmon on a lot of menus.
Many cannot compare to the aesthetic precedence set by Paname's version!
It is just stunning!  The Atlantic Salmon Steak is coated with lemon rind and served with a beet relish, and the edible cage makes it even more attractive.  It really does look this gorgeous darling and we never ever edit the pictures.
If you are in the mood for pasta, even that can be healthy here as Penne joins mixed fresh mushrooms to announce it is the comfort food of the moment.  The ratio of mushrooms to pasta is perfection and the cheese adds elegance and flavor.
Another new item that Bernard insisted we try is the Boudin Noir with Choucroute!  It is "ethnic" food; if you also have lived in Ireland and the UK like Peachy you know what black pudding is (Peachy was sad it was not chocolate at first) and it is an acquired taste.  This is the French version and you should try it!  It is a delicacy and what you once new as an Irish breakfast you can now know as a French dinner.  Finally, the last new item on the menu that must make your acquaintance is the Egg Mollet with Ratatouille and Chorzio which is the ultimate in warm and savory.  You will delve into the goodness of egg, vegetables and ham with gusto.

Bien sur our favorite is the Apple Tarte!!!
Paname continues to be Highly Recommended by Whom You Know.
