The National Hockey League announced today Alex Meruelo became majority owner of the Arizona Coyotes through the formal closing of his purchase transaction with Andrew Barroway, with Mr. Barroway retaining a minority ownership interest in the Club. The NHL Board of Governors had previously approved the transaction.
