Lenovo’s New SaaS Tool Puts You Back in Control of Your Privacy

Introducing Lenovo™ Smart Privacy Services that empowers consumers to personalize how and with whom you share your online data

We’ve all been there before. You’re surfing your favorite social media platform and suddenly an ad pops up – it’s the product you were just searching for yesterday. Your first thought is, “how did they know?” Such unsolicited advertising can be unwelcome, but it illustrates the size of the digital footprint you leave behind which can put you at risk, especially as cybercrime rates continue to soar. In 2020, over 300 million people were impacted by publicly reported data breaches, and that’s just in the U.S.1 To combat such intrusion to consumer privacy, Lenovo is introducing Lenovo Smart Privacy Services.
Privacy Control…Now You’ve Got a Lot

As the latest offering in its consumer services portfolio, Lenovo Smart Privacy Services, powered by Aura, is a Software as a Service (SaaS) tool that empowers you to own, control and personalize your online privacy all in one place – helping you to stay protected while you surf, browse and shop online.

Not only can you choose what data is shared across websites you interact with, but you can also enable anti-tracking and VPN features to help prevent advertisers, search engines, social networks, online merchants, and other third-parties2 from tracking you. As an added proactive measure, you can run a comprehensive privacy scan to uncover which digital accounts and personal information may be presenting vulnerabilities to account takeovers and identity theft.

You don’t have to do all the heavy lifting by yourself though. Lenovo Smart Privacy Services will also notify you when it detects that your digital accounts and/or personal information have been leaked in organizational data breaches, found on select public search sites or in unwanted marketing lists.3 For convenience, Lenovo Smart Privacy Services can also store and manage your digital logins, passwords, and credit card information in a protected vault4 with a synced browser extension5 that auto-fills your credentials as needed from site to site.
More than Privacy – We’re Talking Premium Experiences

Lenovo Smart Privacy Services is just the latest in Lenovo’s expanded line of consumer SaaS offerings designed to help you get the most out of your Lenovo PC. Last year, Lenovo introduced Vantage Smart Performance Services, a self-diagnostic, system health check that offers both on-demand and automated functions to keep devices running smoothly and securely. With the ability to scan, detect and remove spyware, malware, and adware, as well as fix network and access issues and automatically tune up the PC, Vantage Smart Performance Services, like Lenovo Smart Privacy Services, is all about putting the power into your hands.

These security and performance offerings are key points in the evolution of Lenovo’s consumer services portfolio, with the foundation being its Premium Care customer support package. Granting users in more than 50 geographical markets direct access to an advanced level of customer service when needed, Premium Care delivers an elevated support experience for consumers comparable to that provided to employees within large enterprise companies

By offering smarter security and productivity benefits, these tools can optimize system performance and enable efficiency, living up to Lenovo’s vision of Smarter Technology for All. By focusing on consumers’ end-to-end technology experience, Lenovo is helping you unlock the value of your technology purchase one service offering at a time.

Lenovo Smart Privacy Services will be available starting August 31, 2021 via Lenovo.com and the Lenovo Vantage6 app on Lenovo PCs as a subscription service in North America and is expected to expand globally through 2022.
