Only Peachy knows how many trade shows she has been to over the past 14 years where she has asked: WHERE DO YOU MANUFACTURE?
Many that are embarrassed to say where they actually manufacture say: "overseas."
Our prayers have been answered!
WE HAVE FOUND SNEAKERS OF EXCELLENCE MADE IN THE USA!
AND THEY ARE MADE IN THE GREAT COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS!
Obviously it is also a state, but officially Massachusetts is a commonwealth...and as a BC graduate and previous Back Bay resident, Peachy ought to know!
Check them out:
Of course we are IRISH so we love the classy understated green accent highlighted here. New Balance is from BOSTON so we imagine they understand...and check out The Boston Irish by Peachy's late great professor at BC Thomas O'Connor who spent a semester teaching them this course! Of course as a female, Peachy does not wear these but our panelist of highly discriminating taste shares that they are very well-made, comfortable, light, stylish and an overall excellent sneaker: Men’s Made in USA 990 in tan with green (M990TG1)

Product Info: The 990’s original designers were tasked with creating the single best running shoe on the market. The finished product more than lived up to its billing. When it hit shelves for the first time in 1982 the 990 sported an elegantly understated grey colorway, and a then unheard of three-figure price tag. For avid runners and ahead of the curve tastemakers alike, the 990 was a mark of quality and superior taste. There have been updates to the design since ’82, and more color options, but the 990’s aspirational status symbol aura has never changed. Simply put, the 990 is the shoe so good, that we’ve never stopped making it. The 990v3 features a premium upper construction and ENCAP midsole cushioning.

Made in the USA by New Balance makes up a limited portion of New Balance's USA Sales.
It's up to YOU to change that.

We have simple taste: we like the best, and we like it best Made in the USA.  Stay tuned.
