Of course they are ridiculously delicious and successful with pizza, but they go beyond the call of duty with the upper echelons of entree selection and that is why they have been a Peachy's Pick for nine consecutive years!
From the regular menu to the catering menu, Uncle Paul's Pizza captures the essence of what the best of New York pizza can be and goes far beyond that to showcase the myriad of talents that Executive Chef Dino Redzic possesses.  When we first reviewed Dino, we actually did not know that Paul was involved on our first visit until we recognized his face on the menu!  The solid performance of Uncle Paul's Pizza each and every visit over the years make them a staple of New York.  Another important aspect of this venue is the depth of the team there: over the years the staff has been bolstered by quality additions like Zelka Kalaj and Hamo Redzic, who are each dedicated to serving the best with a genuine smile on their face and a sincere regard for giving each and every client the best experience.
The salad selection at Uncle Paul's Pizza is the envy of most pizza places in Manhattan, as it boast five quality choices.  From the signature Uncle Paul's Salad above, which is our personal favorite, to the Caesar Salad below, all elements are fresh, well-cut and arranged beautifully.  Uncle Paul's Pizza is aesthetically motivated across the board.  Crispy bacon, roasted peppers, red onion, fresh mozzarella, grilled mushrooms classify the excellence of the signature salad while the Caesar is all-classic with Romaine, Herb Croutons and gorgeous Shaved Parmesean.  They listen here and put the dressing on the side for Ms. Superpicky, who likes to apply it herself.  She was so excited about the Caesar she couldn't hold the camera still; salad is especially excellent in summer!
Much to the chagrin of their competition in the Manhattan pizza world, Uncle Paul's Pizza always has a spectacular wine list, and we reveled in this Merlot this visit.  Bright, invigorating and versatile, it proved to be a perfect pizza companion and much more.  Obviously Peachy is an enthused student of Gianfranco at the Gruppo Italiano School of continuing education in Italian wine and she often gravitates to it.
In New York they call them Heroes, however Peachy Deegan calls them grinders because that is their Connecticut name.  From the Chicken Parm to the Prosciutto di Parma, Uncle Paul's Pizza presents delightful options for sandwiches with a variety of choices, sourcing the freshest ingredients.
Of course the main focus here is the pizza, and obviously these veterans of Peachy's Picks have got the gold standard in pizza here!  We'd like to bring your attention to the Special Pizza Pies: individual ten-inch and we absolutely reveled in the simplicity of the Margherita Pizza with Fresh Mozzarella, Vine Ripened Tomatoes and Basil all capturing the essence of summer cumulatively as they have escalated to the peak of the season.  
There are not any pizza menus in Manhattan that are more comprehensive than you will find at Uncle Paul's Pizza, and others that have menus as populated do not have the depth of quality that Paul, Dino and Nick reach with their talents.  The day we visited, Peachy's Little Pizza-Motivated Heart desired on her large 18 inch: Tomatoes, Garlic, Onions, Green Peppers, Mushrooms and Spinach.  Not only is this pizza strong enough to hold her myriad of vegetable goodness but more importantly it is healthy enough too!  And we all know this is bathing suit season (up with Miraclesuit!!!) so when you make smart vegetable choices at dinner you will look even more of a winner poolside or oceanside.
Some pizza places are characterized for just their pizza, salad and grinder options, but at Uncle Paul's Pizza, they exceed your expectations and that is what we are looking for across the board: options and quality options!!!  Who else can do a superlative Fettucini Alfredo with succulent little shrimps waltzing in cream sauce appropriately cheese-enhanced and entrees like Salmone alla Griglia-Salmon with Mustard Sauce seared in such a fabulous fashion?  The cumulative talents are rare indeed at one place.
The classic Penne Vodka proved to be the final firecracker finale of this visit, and the family team behind this beacon of deliciousness just steps from Grand Central hits the high notes on pizza and so much more!
