#ChampagneWishes #SouthernPeachy #CharitablePeachy l’Eté du Vin Celebrates 46 years of Funding the Fight Against Cancer
Nashville Wine Auction’s signature event, the Country’s Longest Running Charity Wine Auction, to take place July 24-26, 2025.
Nashville Wine Auction will host “Multifaceted Melka,” the 46th Annual l’Eté du Vin, on July 24-26, 2025. This three-day series of events has something for wine lovers of various experience levels featuring: Vintners’ Tasting on July 24, Patrons’ Dinner on July 25, and the 46th Annual l’Eté du Vin Live Auction on July 26.
Nashville Wine Auction is thrilled to welcome co-proprietors and winemakers for Melka Estates, Philippe and Cherie to Nashville as our Guest of Honor for the 46th Annual l’Eté du Vin. This multifaceted duo has been involved in winemaking for over 30 years, working or consulting (separately and together) for many highly recognizable wine brands. In 1996, they established Melka Estates after moving back to Napa Valley from France and have grown the estate to four distinctly different labels.
Named one of the top nine winemakers by Robert Parker, Philippe is one of Napa’s most highly respected winemakers and consultants advising on terroir, grape varietals, winemaking, the business side of running a winery, and other areas of expertise. To share these facets of his talent, l’Eté du Vin will also feature wines from friends and clients of Atelier Melka, Philippe’s wine consulting company. These featured wineries include Dalecio Family Wines, Flint Knoll Winery, Moone Tsai Wines, NAMO, Tench Vineyard and Zakin Family Estate.
“It is exciting to welcome Philippe and Cherie — along with these critically acclaimed featured vintners — to Nashville to celebrate 46 years of funding the fight against cancer” President and CEO of the Nashville Wine Auction Loren Chumley says. “This weekend will provide unique and elevated experiences for the wine lovers in our community and I can’t wait!”
Proceeds from l’Eté du Vin, the country’s longest running charity wine auction, supports twelve local non-profit organizations whose purpose is directly related to cancer research, innovative patient treatment, and caregiver/patient support.
Lisa Maki & David Osborn and Kristen & Brian Junghans will co-chair a fantastic weekend guaranteed to provide exceptional wine tastings, dinners and auction lots. On Friday, Denise Cummins will chair the Patrons’ Dinner. “As longtime Nashville Wine Auction supporters, it’s an honor to co-chair the 46th Annual l’Eté du Vin,” Lisa Maki and David Osborn say. “It’s an incredible weekend of amazing wine, food, and fun — all supporting our mission of funding the fight against cancer. Anyone who loves wine, hates cancer, and loves giving back to the community is invited to join us!”
The co-chairs are steadfast supporters of Nashville Wine Auction, curating incredible auction lots over the past several years to support our mission in addition to hosting dinners in their homes. Lisa Maki and Brian Junghans have both served on the Nashville Wine Auction board, each as a Board Chair.
“We are thrilled to co-chair the Country’s Longest Running Charity Wine Auction l’Eté du Vin. Every year this weekend is filled with great wine, food, friends and FUN!” Kristen & Brian Junghans say. “It’s an honor to support this premier fundraising event. You couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling weekend while supporting a better cause — funding the fight against cancer!”
