#PeachysPicks Peachy Picks #InauguralReview #SongENapule Since 2015 by #AustriaMaldonado and #CiroIovine NAPOLI NATIVE #464AmsterdamAve #UpperWestSide #Manhattan

Executive Chef, Founder and Owner: Ciro Iovine

It's never been who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we love the Italians and their culinary endeavors, and that's never been a secret.  They absolutely decimate everyone else across the board as a group.  We found one more to brag about!  We are delighted to introduce you to Song E Napule by Owners Austria Maldonado and Ciro Iovine, who are also proud parents to five kids!  Song E Napule means "I'm from Italy" and Ciro is from Napoli and he came to the USA in September, 2008.  Song E Napule opened in January 2015.
Ciro tells us that the day he met his wife, his life changed and she's the most beautiful blessing God has given to him.  May all of us be so lucky as Ciro!
Song E Napule was first featured at its original downtown location, and hot on its heels we visited the Upper West Side location soon after with smashing results in the Winter of 2024!  It was last featured over a year ago and Song E Napule Upper West Side today we are thrilled to announce has joined the ranks of Peachy's Picks.  This is only the sixth restaurant new to us in all of 2025 to prove themselves to be among the very best, joining those whom we have identified previously.  We met Ciro at an event of the Italian Consulate because Napoli native the absolutely amazing late Gianfranco Sorrentino (say a prayer for him please) invited us.  We thought if Ciro was good enough for the Italian Consulate he ought to be good enough for us and based on our experience over time, he has shown he is among the best of the best and we know he and his superior pizza are ready for you!
This is not New York pizza.
Ciro is not from New York. (neither is Peachy.)
Pizza is from NAPOLI.
Ciro is from NAPOLI.
Ciro's Pizza is this style!
YOU HAVE TO HAVE IT!
Bask in the aroma of the fragrant Porcini: embellished with Fiordilatte cheese *Latteria Sorrentina, Parmigiano Reggiano *Vacche Rosse, sourced from Northern Italy, premium porcini mushrooms, Parmigiano Reggiano fondue and truffle oil, the Porcini Pizza is a must in your life.  From the outstanding toppings to the fresh soft crust, every element exudes excellence in total.   You cannot have a bad day if you eat this Porcini pizza.
Pizza and Salad is an ideal meal combination.
There are five striking salad choices that grace this menu, and here are two.
The Tuna Salad, above, is a sensation of Marinated Sicilian Tuna, a revelation with arugula, cherry tomatoes, Buffalo mozzarella from Battipaglia, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano *Vacche Rosse, fresh basil, EVOO *Centonze. Lemon dressing arrived on the side in style for Ms. Pretty Picky who likes salad dressing on the side.
Insalata Caprese, below, is composed of Buffalo mozzarella from Battipaglia, cuore di bue tomatoes from Sorrento, basil pesto, EVOO *Centonze.
Every element in both salads was freshly superior and exactly what we were looking for.
Note we never edit pictures.
The truth is, Ciro is committed to excellence and it will look exactly like this when you visit we believe.
The pizza choices are extremely extensive and the menu runs deep and so does the quality.  There are both red pizzas and white pizzas and pizzas galore!  Peachy does have a pronounced affinity for vegetables on pizza so she adores the Vegetariana, and note if you think vegetables are not delicious, you don't know Ciro.  San Marzano tomato sauce *Rega DOP and Slow Food Eccellenza Nolane, Fiordilatte cheese, *Latteria Sorrentina, Parmigiano Reggiano *Vacche Rosse, eggplant, mushrooms, artichokes, broccoli rabe, fresh basil, and EVOO *Centonze all combine for an extravaganza of color and nutrition for the ultimate in deliciousness.
Primavera, below, is a big hit with a native from Milan and we liked it too.  Fiordilatte Cheese *Latteria Sorrentina, arugula, 24 months aged prosciutto di Parma, cherry tomatoes, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano *Vacche Rosse, Fresh Basil, and EVOO *Centonze show you how pizza can be elevated.  This is most definitely not your run-of-the-mill any-old pizza place on the corner.
The sophistication and details are evident not only in verbiage on the menu but in the taste levels exuded in the culinary triumphs of Song E Napule and WE LOVE IT.
Ciro is not a one-trick pony.
Not only does he do pizza: he does Calzones.
Meet Calzone Classico, equally ravishing in its heavenly softness: Ricotta cheese, San Marzano tomato sauce *Rega DOP and Slow Food Eccellenza Nolane, Fiordilatte cheese *Latteria Sorrentina, Parmigiano Reggiano *Vacche Rosse, spicy spinata salame from Calabria, fresh basil and EVOO *Centonze team up for the one and only Calzone singular sensation on the menu.
We know some of you are pasta-enthused and we didn't forget about you: spaghetti with clams is the ideal way to close out the summer on a high note with Song E Napule with just the right accentuation of sauteed Piennelo tomatoes from Vesuvio and EVOO *Centonze which grace your presence without overwhelming the pasta nor the clams as venues inferior to Ciro's might: they do not make it a red sauce and respect the clams well.  The pasta is perfectly al dente.
If you are visiting on a colder day, Scaloppinie di Pollo makes chicken ravishing with sauteed mushrooms, sauteed brocoli rabe dotted in a lovely manner with Calabrian chili flakes, mashed potatoes and EVOO.  Why would you even consider eating turkey for Thanksgiving when you could have this:
Carrots, fennel, bell pepper, zucchini, and eggplant showed us how grilled vegetables are a total must for a side and make any meal that much better at Song E Napule.
Say yes please to the outstanding Panna Cotta with a side of espresso from Italy of course, and because life is full of difficult decisions, we decided that raspberry and pistachio would go halves on topping and both are equally divine to indulge in!
Peachy is from Connecticut but at Song E Napule she's from Naples in the Neopolitan dialect!
Peachy Picks Song E Napule!
