To mark its tenth anniversary, De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg opens a new chapter in its history and reaches beyond the borders of the Grand Duchy to join the fourth edition of Homo Faber 2026, Europe’s largest celebration of exceptional craftsmanship, orchestrated by the Michelangelo Foundation in Venice, under the artistic direction of Es Devlin.
From 1 to 30 September 2026, Casa Sanlorenzo becomes the setting for an unprecedented 150 m² exhibition bringing together some thirty master artisans from the Grand Duchy and close to fifty exceptional works. Conceived as a contemporary cabinet of curiosities, the scenography deploys light as a language in its own right: it reveals material, underscores the precision of the gesture and brings into view the long time of creation.
Entitled Fiat Lux, De Mains De Maîtres’ inaugural exhibition at Homo Faber unfolds as a poetic, universal meditation on light. A source of life, knowledge and creation, light becomes the guiding thread, inviting master artisans and creators to explore its many dimensions: material, spiritual and symbolic. Through glass, metal, textile, ceramics and innovative materials alike, the works on display reveal how light can be captured, transformed, diffused or merely suggested. By spotlighting exceptional makers in a setting as emblematic as Venice, De Mains De Maîtres Luxembourg affirms its role as a bridge between fine craftsmanship and contemporary creation, true to its founding values.

Beyond the Venetian event, this milestone establishes the positioning of De Mains De Maîtres among Europe’s major fine-craft events and opens, ten years after its creation, a new international chapter that will culminate in the 2027 Biennale in Luxembourg.
