READ THIS: Kay Thompson's Eloise Takes a Bawth drawings by Hilary Knight additional plumbing by Mart Crowley

You know Eloise is just fahbulous dahling in Hollywood:

And The Ultimate Eloise is simply tops:

And Eloise at Christmas time cooled us off in August:

and so did Eloise in Moscow:

and what could be more chic than going to Paris with Eloise:

Well readers, now it is time to hear about her bawth!
And Elosie, we hope you are reading Product Alert to see what bath products Peachy Deegan recommends...Peachy is using Kneipp right now.
The Petite Peachy Panel spashily chimes in:

As I have always been a bath only girl, Eloise Takes a Bath, was so exciting for me. Again another title I do not remember reading as a little girl. Apparently, the manuscript was misplaced for quite a while. But voila, a new Eloise title, with all her old tricks. Of course, preparing for a bath takes almost just as long as soaking, washing and rinsing. In true Eloise style, she takes her sweet time doing 50 things prior and Nanny has a friend coming to tea. With every tap in the bathroom running and Eloise pretending to be a speed boat and more you can only imagine the mess she creates. Her imagination runs wild in the bath, like nothing you have read before. In fact she soaks the Plaza Ballroom and everything in it. But with that kind of imagination, you know she can save the ball and kiss and make-up with everyone. Another wonderful Eloise story to share with your children and enjoy yourself. A true classic.

"Eloise Takes a Bawth" is the best best best! The vivid imagination of everyone's favorite six year old is working overtime in this book and my four year old was entranced! Something as simple as a bawth turns into a major production! Eloise turns on all the faucets and what ensues is mess of epic proportions. Hilary Knight's illustrations are breathtaking! Knight depicts the flow of water from the penthouse where Eloise's seemingly innocent, yet quite raucous bawth (she sings her heart out, she's a pirate, she's a mermaid...) creates quite the disahster, dahling! Eloise is in her own world, but her bawth water is making its way down from the penthouse all through the Plaza and into the Grand Ballroom where the Venetian Masked Ball is taking place! No no no! The juxtaposition of precocious little Eloise in her imagination-filled bawth world against the grand ball-goers is hilarious! My four year old and I loved loved loved this book and will read it again again again!

Kay Thompson's Eloise Takes a Bawth lives up to all my favorite stories in the series! Always on the go. Always fabulous. Always full of life! My daughter loves, loves, loves listening to all the trouble Eloise causes when Nanny gets her into the tub. Her favorite is all the gorgeous illustrations by Hillary Knight. Who can resist the series as the water spills down the hotel and into the ballroom as a fabulous soiree gets started? Not us! If your kids delight in the idea of a splishy, splashy tub, they will enjoy every second of what Eloise does in this fantastical story! A must read for all your perfect (ahemmm....) little ones!

I grew up listening to and reading Eloise. I even brought her books into my classroom to read to 3rd and 4th graders. Even they loved her. I was so excited to see an Eloise book I hadn't seen before! I love taking baths just like Eloise. When I read this to my class, I know I'll have many students who will love this book. Kids always say the darnedest things (just like Eloise), and I know I'll have several students tell me they love to take baths. We'll be able to talk about how much we love the water and if we've ever been to a hotel. We can get so many activities from Eloise's antics, that we can't get enough! Eloise is the best!
