UBS and Best Buddies International, a groundbreaking nonprofit founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, are pleased to announce that the Second Annual Hamptons Gala will take place on Friday, August 21, at the Water Mill home of Anne and Jay McInerney.

Tatiana & Campion Platt, Anne & Jay McInerney, and Haley & Jason Binn have graciously agreed to serve as Co-Chairs for the Western-chic themed event, which features a cocktail hour; a formal gourmet dinner; amazing live and silent auctions with items such as a visit to the set of “Damages” and the opportunity to meet actress Glenn Close, dinner for four at the French Laundry with a special kitchen tour by chef and owner Thomas Keller, and a trip to DPS Sporting Clubs in Turks and Caicos; and music and dancing with the popular Eturnity Band.

“We are thrilled to be returning to the Hamptons and hope to build upon the success of last year’s event, which brought the community’s most enthusiastic and generous people together in support of friendships, jobs and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities,” says Anthony K. Shriver, founder and chairman of Best Buddies International.
