Chez Peachy: Cornerture makes you WANT to go straight to the corner! The Best Corners in Manhattan are filled with Cornerture

When you were younger and got in trouble, were you sent straight to the corner?  Peachy was certainly sent to the corner (and if you were reading yesterday, you remember she was likely wearing Lacoste whether she was behaving or not)...but now we all want to go to the corner!  Because that is where you can find the best pieces of the room by Cornerture!  She wishes she was sent to the one shown above by Scott.  Of the many soirees Peachy Deegan has attended over the years in Manhattan, she met furniture designer extraordinaire Scott Sallinger who is the founder of Cornerture at one years ago.  It probably would be hard to discipline children in corners so stunning...

Nooks and Corners:  For the past 15 years, SJSallinger Inc. has been designing and building custom cabinetry and furniture for hundreds of their clients throughout California and the United States.  Designs for tall, short, narrow, wide and all spaces in between - Kitchen nooks, Bathroom cubbies, Laundry rooms, Closets, Home Offices, Dining alcoves - corners and recesses for just about any room or small space.  This is just the kind of thing everyone in Manhattan needs with our lack of space!  Let us just say that SJSallinger has found a “niche in nook spaces.”

In expanding the business in 2006, founder and master craftsman, Scott Sallinger incorporated his custom design expertise into production furniture designs using a familiar and fresh approach.

His background of historical home renovations and architectural woodworking, combined with the experience that has come from collaborating with artisans from many disciplines, has given him a well-rounded insight towards his production furniture designs.  His corner furniture brand "Cornerture®” has been getting a lot of attention this last year and we are not one bit surprised.

A national furniture manufacture licensed the “Cornerture Bed” design and showed it at the fall 2009 Las Vegas and High Point furniture markets.  It got a great response and will go into production this year.  In addition, the “Cornerture Modular System” was awarded “2009 most wanted space saver”, California Home+Design magazine, as it was featured in the November and December issues.  They are in negotiations to bring the modular system to the market soon as well.  We look forward to bringing you coverage of this exciting brand which is new to Manhattan!
