An Update from Stand Up to Cancer

Every day, cancer kills 1,500 Americans - one person every minute. This year, more than 560,000 Americans and eight million people worldwide will succumb to the disease. One in three women and one in two men will be diagnosed in their lifetimes. This is simply unacceptable. Our goal with this telecast is to not only continue to raise funds to accelerate promising research, but also show viewers how their money and individual action will make - and have already made - a difference..."

Once again, Stand Up To Cancer is embracing the power of Hollywood for the biggest cancer-fighting campaign in the history of television. The second nationally-televised fundraising event will air on 12 TV networks and cable channels projected to reach over 15 million Americans. A full roster of celebrities will entertain and inspire viewers, and we'll provide updates on how patients are already benefiting from the SU2C Dream Teams' research. Watch how young celebrities like Zac Efron, Dakota Fanning, Vanessa Hudgens and Jon Heder are joining the fight against cancer in our "Change the Odds" PSA, and learn why it's Up2 all of us to Stand Up and find a cure.
