The AIPAD Photography Show New York 2011 + New Member Galleries

After St. Patrick's Day, Peachy Deegan is always looking for something else to look forward to!  This is it.

The Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD) has announced that The AIPAD Photography Show New York, one of the world’s most important annual photography events, will be held March 17 – 20, 2011, at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City. The 31st edition of the Show will open with a Gala Preview on March 16 to benefit the John Szarkowski Fund, an endowment for photography acquisitions at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. More than 70 of the world’s leading fine art photography galleries will present a wide range of museum-quality work including contemporary, modern and 19th century photographs, as well as photo-based art, video and new media. The AIPAD Photography Show New York is the longest running and foremost exhibition of fine art photography.

AIPAD also has announced the addition of five new members, including leading photography art dealers from the United States, Europe and Israel. The new members are as follows:

Galerie f5,6, Munich, Germany, specializing in emerging, established, experimental and traditional masters of photography;

M+B Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, known for contemporary and 20th century photography;

Flo Peters Gallery, Hamburg, Germany, focusing on black and white photography from the European avant-garde, early American documentary, and 20th century street and fashion photography;

Julie Saul Gallery, New York, NY, specializing in international contemporary and emerging photographic-based art, from the traditional to the avant-garde; and

Vision Neil Folberg Gallery, Jerusalem, Israel’s premier gallery exclusively devoted to fine art photography.

“Our new AIPAD members are international in their scope and broad in their representation,” noted Stephen Bulger, President, Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD), and President, Stephen Bulger Gallery, Toronto. “They offer collectors and institutions a superior level of expertise, connoisseurship and scholarship.”
