"Quotes by William Shakespeare from Romeo and Juliet in italic quotes"

Emma gets ready in red!

"The Big Doggie Date! It’s here!"  Emma is beside herself with anticipation.  A last minute wardrobe change results in the wearing of a festive red ribbon.  "Simple elegance is always best," says Emma.

“Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?”

“But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.”

“it is my lady! *sighs* o, it is my love! o, that she knew she were! she speaks, yet she sais nothing. what of that? her eye discourses; i will answer it. i am too bold, 'tis not to me she speaks; two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, having some business, do entreat her eyes to twinkle in their spheres till they return.”
Her suitor is announced, leading Emma to perform her famous commando crawl. This means, dear readers, "Yay!  He is here!!"  Tails a-wagging, the pair proceed to decide their first course.
First, some appetizers are in order, but let's not eat the fantastic bone salt & pepper shakers from UncommonGoods!
They do look good enough to eat however!

Emma thinks..."What are these?   An edible house gift for me?  Yum…Oh! These are NOT for dogs.  They are for humans who own dogs.   Why Bruno, my human is all smiles now and finds you most clever."  Read more on this product here.

Emma and Bruno contemplate sharing a bone.

Emma is in a trance of love and almost cannot eat.

"He is here! With me! My little pug heart is pounding! How can even me, a pug, think of food when I am feasting my eyes on this handsome specimen of a dog! OOOh.  I am such a lucky, lucky girl!! Look at how he gazes at me!"

"I cannot believe she’s willing to share her bone!  What a special young lady!"thinks Bruno.
The Pup-Pie Pizza is the pug entree of choice!
For dinner the Pugs decide to keep it fun and casual with Pup Pie Pizza, whilst the humans indulge on a delicious vegetable pizza from Salvo’s Pizzabar, speedily delivered despite the snow.

Emma believes the two red tomatoes atop their pie are a secret sign of support for Bremma.
Dinner is followed up with a romantic dessert of Apple Pie for dogs!

"Not only do I get to see Emma, I get dessert as well!  You know what they say about gentlemen’s eyes and stomachs."Bruno concludes.

Tummies full and it’s ….PLAYTIME.  Pugs are clowns by nature and this pair proves their sense of humor by indulging in comic relief with toys from UncommonGoods.
Time for fun with toys!
Debonair Bruno with his moustache...  "
Yes . . . a moustache is going to enhance my already irresistible looks.  And it is just the right thing for this weather we’re having!"exclaims Bruno.

And our tantalizing tongue pug Emma has found one bigger than her!

Emma is tickled pink that her toy matches her given name exactly: Trafalgar’s Little Rock-n-Roll.  Emma says: “I’ve got the moves like Jagger”
"Generous with her bones and a wild little lady as well . . . " thinks Bruno.

A fun heart rope toy-Chain of Hearts by Jax & Bones to connect dog-to-dog!

"Bruno is so smart isn’t he? He even brought a toy so our humans can play with us when we go walkies!  We love our red rope toy.  How clever a gift to match my ribbon," says Emma. "Looks like Bruno is ready to play tug o’war.  Let’s go!"
“Come hither and play, Petite Emma” says Bruno.

“One fairer than my love? The all-seeing sun
Ne'er saw her match since first the world begun.”

“These violent delights have violent ends.”

“turn him into stars and form a constellation in his image. His face will make the heavens so beautiful that the world will fall in love with the night and forget about the garish sun.”

"Ah Bruno, ‘tis your noble countenance I gaze on," says Emma.  "Do not worry if you are not sporting the mustache."
Pugs at play!

Bruno contemplates his first journal entry in the diary that will chronicle the love life of Bruno and Emma=Bremma.

“Can I go forward when my heart is here?Turn back, dull earth, and find thy centre out.”

Emma is ready to help put paw to paper.  Our readers will recall she was studying the English language in a prior post and learning how to read.  She is eager to practice her new literacy skills "Pass me the pen, pleeeeease!"
"I thought girls always want the boy to be the first to say it," thinks Bruno.

“If love be rough with you, be rough with love. Prick love for pricking and you beat love down.”

“See how she leans her cheek upon her hand. O that I were a glove upon that hand
That I might touch that cheek!”

"I can’t let the guys in the neighborhood know we’re now wearing matching outfits; although I kind of like it," says Bruno.
Did you notice this? Look! A journal for Bremma!! OOOOO Emma cannot wait to chronicle the fun times she is having with Master Bruno! She will put in pictures of the two of them in their matching tartan plaid coats.  Emma is very pleased with herself for getting Bruno’s coat size right on the first try.  We ladies know how difficult it can be to find the perfect fit when buying clothes for our men.  Are we the cutest pug pair EVER dear readers?
Time for the Valentine's Day card by Peanuts! Who can resist star beagle Snoopy?!

“Love is a smoke made with the fume of sighs.”

OOOH! Bruno can read too!! Emma is impressed.
Emma is inspired by the card and remembers it is just time for the Charlie Brown Valentine's Day special!  She can be the little red-haired girl and Bruno can be Charlie Brown.
She beckons her man Bruno to join her...

"Come thee hither," murmurs Emma.

Bruno prefers the chair over the dog bed.

They try on some fantastic plaid pug coats...

“Love moderately. Long love doth so.
Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow."

If you had any doubts, just look at us doing the Canine Canoodle.  We are going to toast the luck o’ the Irish on our next date!  A homage to Peachy Deegan for introducing us.  Love, Me Emma and my beau Bruno.  Happy Valentine’s Day to Whom You Know and to you, dearest readers.  From Us.  Bremma.

“Good night, good night! parting is such sweet sorrow,
That I shall say good night till it be morrow.”

By the way, this date was not all about the dogs.

They remembered their humans on Valentine's Day!

One of their humans is a sagiattarius and the other is an aquarius! These pillows by UncommonGoods are superfun to celebrate Valentine's day with!

Bruno and Emma are of course good little shoppers because they read Whom You Know!

Stay tuned for their St. Patrick's Day date!

“A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”
"Alas, our second date draws to an end.  T’was an enchanted, romantic, pugiliciously playful evening.  I thank thee for thy gracious gifts. Until we meet again I shall be dreaming of you," sayeth Emma.

“You are a lover. Borrow Cupid's wings and soar with them above a common bound.”
