It's not who you know, it's Whom You Know and we know Kevin Wade!  Kevin proves that Irish people make great pizza at Previti Pizza; Kevin owns that venue with Paul Previti, his brother-in-law.  We were delighted to recently meet Paul and his other fantastic business for the first time: Delmonico's Gourmet Food Market.  This Delmonico's is no relation to the steak house and it began in 1981.  In 2007, Paul Previti took over the business keeping its original Italian name, and he is the sole owner.  Paul Previti previously was a specialist in the coffee discipline.
We have never been so impressed with sushi that is packaged and available for you to pick up.  Paul Previti takes sushi seriously and employs three full-time sushi chefs from South Korea and the fish is delivered five times a week, ensuring premium quality and freshness.
Usually pre-packaged sushi at a random food market in Manhattan would scare us but you can be confident it is absolutely terrific here.  We tried the Boston rolls, tuna, fish eggs, salmon and cucumber rolls and were quite happy with every aspect.  We actually have a difficult time finding great sushi at all and really loved what we tried.  Additionally, since Paul Previti is so committed to cleanliness and quality across the board, you know the sushi is that way.  We think he's going to like our column Clean Peachy.
The Signature Sandwiches are not to be ignored and are equally tremendous.
First we tried the Italian submarine at Paul's suggestion: this is his favorite.  We call these grinders though because Peachy is from Connecticut.
The combination of prosciutto (Boar's Head), salami, cappicola ham, provolone, grilled peppers, artichoke hearts and red pepper aoili firmly establish this is a sandwich of sophistication.  The fresh bread is exactly as you'd want it to be and note the deli meat is by Nation's Best...clearly this is a family that is devoted to food because five decades ago (you know, when Jimmy Neary established Neary's on 57th street!), Vincent Previti and Ira Solburn started Nation's Best and now that brand is run by Paul Previti's brother, Peter Previti.
Another winning signature sandwich in case you are not a meat eater is the White Albacore Tuna salad.  Mixed baby greens and sliced tomato enhance this premium delicious tuna.
If you are a panini enthusiast, you should know that there are several grilled panini choices from the Manhattan, above, with roast beef, pepperjack cheese, crispy onions, roasted peppers, arugula and chipotle on rosemary foccacia to the Chicken Parmesean below.
Finally, a salad not to be ignored is the Crab Cobb Salad.  Romaine lettuce, crabmeat, turkey bacon, avocado, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes and scallions have the ultimate party in lemon basil dressing, which they were happy to put on the side.  The heartiness and genius in the ingredient combination make this salad a winner.

Delmonico's Gourmet Food Market is Terrific Takeout!
