All hail the MUFFLED TRUSHROOM!!!!!!!!!!
Manager Maria Claudio and Jose Rosado
Both know how to professionally get their pizza party on with style and deliciousness!
Once upon a time, Peachy Deegan did live in Manhattan for a month for the first time, but then spent years in Boston, first at Boston College, where she ate a lot of Addie's pizza on campus which we believe has since closed.  There was a lot of great pizza in Boston, so it came as no surprise to us to discover that the new to New York, Oath Pizza is from Massachusetts: Nantucket, to be specific.
When we go to a pizza place, we want:
1. Obviously great pizza
2. Even better, great people
Pictures do not lie, and Maria and Jose are precisely as fun and dedicated as you see above.
Many, many casual takeout spots are full of employees who do not care about detail or service like all of the owners we have worked with for the last decade, but in our experience in our two visits to Oath Pizza, we find these employees definitely do care.
Try to find the last piece where we said that!
They sell their pizza with style and flair, and you have not lived until you have had MUFFLED TRUSHROOM.  It is to-die-for and a real tragedy in your life if you haven't had it.
This is our second visit ever to any Oath Pizza.
We first went in the cold:
Now that spring is upon us, we are into salads more than ever and bathing suit season is here!  Oath Pizza has created two brand new salads that are delicious, nutritious, and delicately devoured with glee.  Above, meet the Greek salad.  Romaine, grape tomatoes, red onion, kalamata olives, green peppers, feta and especially the banana pepper, which truly wowed us, team up for vibrant colors and great taste along with Greek dressing.  Of course they put it on the side for Ms. Pretty Picky.
Below, meet the Caesar salad, a total classic.
Romaine, Grand Padano Cheese (obviously our favorite vegetable), housemade croutons.  Again, they listened and put the dressing on the side, which is how we always like it.

 Meet The David!
A true work of art edibly sculpted, The David is so delicious it may even bring Michaelangelo back to life.  Balsamic, mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, ricotta, basil and sweet italian sausage team up with incredible classic flavor to make your day.  If you have yet to experience Ricotta on pizza, get to it because it is absolutely delicious.
The David was new to us, and so is this one: Spicy Mother Clucker!
A fitting name, Spicy Mother Clucker is zesty and has tastebud tantalization going on with its mozzarella, pickled red onions, spiced chicken, sriracha drizzle, spicy aioli and scallions.  We wonder why we don't see more scallions on pizzas and it is a great idea.  This hot number is terrific for spring and a winner to liven up your life.
MUFFLED TRUSHROOM, THE BEST BY TEN MILES

Too bad for you that this screen is not scratch and sniff.  This pizza was just as good as we remember: Muffled Trushrooms, and it is one of the best in Manhattan.  House-made truffle spread, mozzarella, roasted mushrooms, ricotta and grana padano cheese amalgamate in a heavenly array of flavors that grace your palate with sophistication and style.
It is easy to eat the whole thing by yourself and we suggest you make those you dine with order their own as this is way too perfect to share.
Jose pulls a mean pint of Orange Hibiscus (you know Peachy is Irish and prefers this verbiage.  This is NOT alcoholic but stay tuned they may get their liquor license someday....) and it is delightful to sip upon with everything.

Oath Pizza on the Upper East Side is still Terrific Takeout!
