#InauguralReview #TerrificTakeout #NYGrillandDeli #MidtownEast #Manhattan by the Elzendi Family

Owner Rod Elzendi, an enthusiastic, polite staff member Taiss who is showing them that anything boys can do girls can do better, and Owner Ali Elzendi

It's summer in Manhattan, and sometimes it's too hot to eat a regular hot entree, thus making it ideal for sandwiches!  We found a hot new spot in midtown on the East side: NY Grill and Deli, and it opened on May 29, 2019.  This is our first visit and their first review.
Tuna Heaven was the first bite we had, and it was the best (tied with the chicken quesadilla.)
We would absolutely order it again, and the quality of the tuna itself was tops.
It successfully joins swiss cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, roasted peppers and balsamic vinaigrette to invigorate your appetite.
We applaud the roasted peppers in particular and believe they should star in more tuna sandwiches.
The whole wheat was ok; we would have preferred white french bread.
More enthusiastic staff members: cousin Jose Korain, Carlos Braba and Antonio of NY Grill and Deli

We don't know why it has taken us 11 years to find this, but this is the first time we've discovered a pizza burger.  If you like pizza and you like burgers, you will love this idea.  If you don't, what are you doing here?!?
Marinara sauce and mozzarella enhance this hamburger, and as you can see, from the fries to the toppings, nothing is left behind to make the burger even better.
Our two favorite items: Chicken Quesadilla and Tuna Heaven
Another huge winner was the Chicken Quesadilla, an all time favorite of Peachy's that is rarely done this well.  It is perfectly filled with the right amount of chicken, cheddar and mozzarella cheese, onions and peppers and was grilled properly too.  The sour cream, avocado and salsa were perfection and the only thing we'd add would be guacamole.  We loved this chicken quesadilla and can't wait to eat it again.

Owner Ali tells us the most popular items and his personal favorite are the steak sandwiches.  We liked them, and like that they call it (not Philly) but New York Steak and Cheese!
Marinated Steak, melted american cheese, sauteed onions and peppers amalgamate to hit the spot in your stomach!  We particularly liked the cherry tomato garnish.

Another strong contender was the Chicken Parm grinder.
If you have ever read us before, you know that Peachy is a Chicken Parm monster so if you are a delicious Chicken Parm like this: watch out, because you will end happily ever after in her stomach.  We liked the greens on the side and the green olives were spectacular aside.

We like that you can create your own salad here, and we would like to try that in the future.
However, there is a section called Amazing Salads where six distinct salads are made to order for you.  We chose the Greek Salad: mixed greens, feta, grape leaves, black olives, tomatoes, red onions, and balsamic.  Every component was fresh and this was an impressive salad.  They listened and put dressing on the side for Picky Peachy.

NY Grill and Deli did a great job this first visit and we look forward to seeing what they do next!  They do not yet have a website.
