#TerrificTakeout #PeachysPicks #PeachyDeegan @ManhattanPeachy #Primola by #GiulianoZuliani and #SamuelMorocho A Peachy's Pick Since 2012, Primola Since 1986 Spring 2022

Halibut and Shrimp in a light tomato sauce welcome you to the spring season!  A special of the night we visited.
Peachy still lives for Primola's Black and White Taglierini
It's not who you know it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Primola.  We would put it among our most favorites and Giuliano Zuliani is one of the most competitive restaurant owners in Manhattan.  In fact the only restaurant we have reviewed longer than Primola is Ammos!  It is no accident we have been singing Primola's praises since 2012 and this review marks the decade milestone we have been awarding Primola with accolades which it has entirely earned.
Beauty awaits you as soon as you enter.
Primola was last featured in the fall of 2020:
Everything is perfection at Primola.
Clean, pristine and elegant, Primola excels in all details of fine dining and supersedes many expectations.  If you want to have whatever your little heart desires, you come to Primola and it will happen.  The opening plate of crudites, cheese and breadsticks are always a hit and welcome one and all to this bastion of class on Second Avenue in the best part of town, the Upper East Side.
The wine list is extraordinary and laudable.  Peachy sipped on a fine cabernet.
We would highly encourage you to listen to all specials because they are really firework sensations of the menu.  Peachy Deegan has a close, intimate relationship with Burrata and this sublime creamy wonder of brilliance supremely luxuriates on radiating roasted bell peppers and asparagus.  Note how healthy these vegetables make the plate and the color really is this fabulous.  We never edit.  You excel like Giuliano or we do not publish on you.
Another Antipasti that is directly from the menu not to be ignored is the Insalata Ortolana.  Baby string beans party with mixed peppers and mushrooms expertly chopped to team up for a trifecta of nutrition radiating inbetween gorgeous endive.  All produce at Primola is tremendously fresh and dazzling.
The signature salad under salads as opposed to appetizers (antipasti) is the Insalata Speciale Primola.
A lot of salads think they are special, but this one actually is.  We even trust Primola to dress it and how many times do you see us say that!!!  It is not too much salad dressing and it is exactly just right for Goldilocks Peachy who most definitely mostly does it herself everywhere else.  No one chops their salad with more precision and we will let the pictures speak for themselves:
If you want Peachy to do something for you, you ought to feed her this.  The Black and White Taglierini with shrimp, fresh tomato and seppia is probably her all-time favorite menu item although that could change depending on what season it is.  The al dente exquisite rarified pasta dish is in a class by itself and it quite seriously does get better every time we eat it and we dream about it not only in black and white but also in color.  The Spinach dumplings absolutely hit the spot particularly on a chilly day and the I Chicchi della Nonna boast a pillowy texture to die for.  These are both regular menu pastas.
Both entrees we ordered were from the specials menu and proved that not even covid can keep Primola down.  The halibut and shrimp in light tomato sauce demonstrated immense craftsmanship in seafood particularly with the butterflied shrimp perching on top.  The freshness was exceptional and the size was laudable.  Some places give you a tiny sliver of fish and call that an entree: we would disagree.  This is how it's done.  The Veal Scallopini joined by fresh tomato, artichokes and peas is a carnivorous delight of superior quality.  Every bite is pure luxury and tastes like a celebration.
A side of green beans is actually our favorite and we were surprised with it!
'
Finally we concluded with an array of desserts.  The Zabaglione is our favorite with its raspberries, blueberries and strawberries and EVEN a GOOSEBERRY.  Now anywhere else we have this Peachy is going to be asking where is the gooseberry!!?!?  That adds a brilliant tart tanginess treat that will awaken your senses.  The tiramisu is creamy goodness and chocolate which is always the right answer, and even this biscotti is fresh and terrific with crunch.
Primola continues to earn our Highest Recommendation.

Bravo they are now online!
