#TeawithPeachyDeegan #WhomYouKnow #KingsCarriageHouse A Peachy's Pick Since 2011 Fall 2022 #LizKing #PaulFarrell #ElizabethFarrell

The best cure for the weather right now:
Tea at Kings' Carriage House!
Executive Chef and Owner Liz King,
America's Queen Elizabeth
The winning family behind this gem: Paul Farrell, Elizabeth Farrell and Liz King
They are extremely aesthetically motivated; they are so classy they don't need a sign outside: people that know know it!

It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Kings' Carriage House, and they know us because look: the apostrophe is in the right place here!  Our praise of this venue dates back to 2011 and their longevity is testament to their excellence.  This is their first review since covid, and when they are open for dinner once we know, you will also!  Not only are we enthused about their cuisine and their style but also we are both genetically and culturally attuned to this: Peachy just checked and she is 54 percent Irish and British as of this second and the only other countries she has resided in ever are Ireland and England.  This was last featured for Tea in early 2019.
Being beautiful matters.  Kings' Carriage House is exquisite.
We were honored with the High Tea Menu.  We chose English Breakfast Tea; it goes without saying that it is perfect and they know what they are doing here.
It is perfect for all the Deegans and carnivorously inclined; you also should know there is a Vegetarian Afternoon Tea and a Vegetarian High Tea.
In general, Afternoon Tea is simply tea with three courses and High Tea is that plus an entree (of course four courses).
We love love love entrees.
The first course consists of Pinwheels of Oak Smoked Scottish Salmon, and this was our favorite item from this course.  Peachy has eaten salmon in Ireland, Scotland (she did not reside in Scotland but she visited) and England and this is totally authentic.  It ought to be because Paul Farrell is a Dublin native!  Also excellent are the fresh Cucumber Triangles with Chive Butter, Egg and Watercress, Sesame Chicken Salad and Goat Cheese, Caramelized Fig and Pistachio.
All of these are directly below.
One of life's simple pleasures is smelling the warm scones which arrive with classy cream and jam.  In fact our studies prove that the freshness will be so positively overpowering you will not be patient enough for the flash to go off and you will immediately befriend the scones as you indulge in luxurious course two.  Note there is nowhere better in Manhattan to enjoy tea.  The Hotels do not boast this warm ambiance and the crazy revolving door of the people behind each and every hotel we may have liked at any one given time has never proven to be as consistent as Kings' Carriage House.  In our fourteenth year we are proponents of loyalty and longevity more than ever.  Not to mention the challenges of covid that the best have overcome!
Course number three is for those with a sweet tooth.
Baby Poppy Seed Tea Cakes, Baby Apricot Coconut Tea Cakes, Lemon Curd Squares and obviously the best of all: Baby Belgian Chocolate Pistachio Tea Cakes.  All wonderful in their own right, this pleasing array contrasts nicely with any tea you choose.

There are four entree choices and we opted for the essential Scrambled Eggs with Smoked Salmon and Crispy Potato Cake.  Every element revealed perfection and the ideal proportion absolutely the spot.
