#PeachysPicks #Delmonicos @DelmonicosNYC Since 1837 Summer 2025 by Owner Dennis Turcinovic and Team The Original Delmonico's A Peachy's Pick Since 2012 56 Beaver St., New York, New York America's First Fine Dining Establishment
In the easy breezy summertime it is still not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Dennis Turcinovic, owner of Delmonico's! We were pleased as punch to return recently, this time to the lounge area, which also has phenomenal ambiance. We believe all of our other features have taken place in the main dining room, but we loved the lounge just as much. If you have simple taste and like only the best, this is the place for you because every element of our experience was flawless, a testament to the talent and care of Dennis and his team who are genuine, professional, welcoming and wonderful.
Owner Dennis Turcinovic on his first Whom You Know Review in 2012!
Restaurants come and go and "influencers" come and go, but we know Delmonico's is here to stay and we hope we are too. Delmonico's was last featured in 2023 and they have been a Peachy's Pick Since 2012. They are in a class by themselves they prove again and again; we showed you last time how they rang the bell at the NYSE. Delmonico's is owned by Dennis Turcinovic, Max Tucci, Joe Licul and Darko Matosic.
General Manager and Owner Darko Matosic and Captain Branko Vinski graciously welcomed us and we worked most closely with the highly professional Christin Beltran and Nini Melo. Dennis has built an impeccable team that ensures your experience will be a superior one!
Even the chandeliers smile at you at Delmonico's; they have earned spots in Chandelier Peachy previously in 2012 and again in 2023. Every last detail is attended to from the pleasurable silverware that includes La Tivola and Sambonet and even the bread basket is total quality, especially the focaccia.
The Caesar Salad of Delmonico's is highly aesthetically motivated and achieves the upper echelons of performance in this piece that is far superior to the competition. Note we never edit pictures and this is truthfully what it looks like. The Little Gem Lettuce is confetti-ed (a Peachyism) artfully with Aged Parmesean, Chives, and Anchovies which embellish the classic nature that is signature to Delmonico's. They have the precision of a venue that arranges dinners with tweezers with the history of a place that has graciously satisfied the best appetites of history.
The Smoked Steak Tartare is another visual triumph and the Marinated Egg Yolk, Nori, Asian Pear and Grilled Sourdough combine for a fresh, spectacular start. We particularly commend the crispy shallots and their understated charm adds sophisticated pizazz without taking away from the carnivorous star of the show in this dish.
Of course you are given the correct fork prior to the arrival of your majestic Chilled Jumbo Prawns.
Chilled Jumbo Prawns are a quintessential classic served at their pinnacle of freshness with riveting cocktail sauce that classes them up. An original dish at Delmonico's that is on the lighter side is Chicken a la Keene: a lovely bevy of English Peas, Cherry Tomato, Asparagus, Piquillo, and Mushrooms all luxuriate in a bespoke Creamy Sherry Sauce. The amalgamation of elegant flavors was in perfect proportion accomplishing a sublime entree. This is also available in a plant-based version upon request.
Even the bathrooms have a peachy flair:
Brand new to the menu is Marinated Black Cod with Edamame, Baked Lotus Roots on Top, and a Kaffir Lime Glaze: a culinary sensation. This is exotic but bows to no trends: it sets them. With the Chicken and the Cod, we sipped a beacon of brilliance in a glass: Costa D'Amalfi Bianco Marisa Cuomo White which had impressive aromatic bright notes that paired perfectly with our culinary endeavors.
If you are in the mood for pasta, the Campanelle is staggeringly delicious. Perfect for the season: mint lime pesto, ricotta and inventive Pistachio Gremolata sing a perfect song of summer.
However, what most people really want at Delmonico's is the Signature Delmonico Ribeye in all its 18 ounce glory from Brandt Family Farms in California.
Perfectly Medium Rare as ordered, the Carnivorous Star of the Show continues to be undeniably luxurious and sets the standard for steakhouses today; it paired so well with this robust red of 70 percent Cabernet to 30 percent Merlot ratio. Certainly in 1837 no one had an inkling of artificial intelligence, but today X's Grok 3 tells us:

We count seven sides to choose from and adore the Creamed Spinach embellished with Garlic Bechamel and the Grilled Asparagus highlighted with Garlic Oil the most. A terrifically wonderful way to get your vegetables in!
Another Delmonico's invention is the Baked Alaska see the video here which you've got to have. Banana Gelato, Walnut Cake and Apricot Jam along with a Passionfruit Sorbet celebrate this winner invented in 1867.
We absolutely love Delmonico's and that is one genuine smile.
Delmonico's continues to earn our Highest Recommendation.
