Madison Square Garden Launches “Thank You, NYPD” Campaign Bringing Together Celebrities, Athletes, Business Leaders, and Other Prominent Figures to Say Thank You to the New York City Police Department

Exclusive “Thank You, NYPD” Event To Be Hosted At MSG Featuring Performances By Chris Distefano, Fat Joe, John Fogerty, Cyndi Lauper, Sam Morril And More

New Yorkers Are Encouraged To Submit “Thank You, NYPD” Videos At MSG.com/NYPD

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. (NYSE: MSGE) (“MSG Entertainment”) announced a “thank you” campaign encouraging all New Yorkers to thank the New York City Police Department for their service to our great city. The initiative includes the “Thank You, NYPD” event, a private concert for the NYPD to celebrate the department’s dedication to keeping New York City safe. The event, which will be open exclusively to uniformed officers and civilian employees of the NYPD and their loved ones, will take place on Saturday, March 28 at Madison Square Garden. As part of this initiative, all New Yorkers are encouraged to visit www.msg.com/nypd to submit a video thanking the NYPD.  Whom You Know strongly supports law and order, the police everywhere and federal law enforcement under the Trump administration.

“Thank You, NYPD” will feature performances by music legends John Fogerty and Cyndi Lauper, rapper Fat Joe, comedians Chris Distefano and Sam Morril, and more, with appearances by celebrities, athletes, business leaders and other prominent New York figures. To create this unique event, MSG Entertainment is providing The Garden rent free and is donating all production and operating costs. More than 15,000 attendees, including NYPD officers and employees from across the five boroughs and their loved ones, will be invited to “Thank You, NYPD” as guests of Madison Square Garden.

Jim Dolan, Executive Chairman and CEO, MSG Entertainment said, “There are times in our culture today when the dissenter’s voice is louder than that of the majority. Such is the case with law enforcement, and in particular, the NYPD. Cries of ‘defund the police’ and other negative statements do not reflect the true feelings of New Yorkers. If that is what our cops are hearing and no one steps up to say otherwise, that can be disheartening. This concert to say, ‘Thank You, NYPD’ is designed to let our police know that we New Yorkers need, respect and appreciate their effort and service. It is not political. Just a sincere ‘thank you’ to our men and women in blue. New York would not be New York without you! Enjoy the show and know that we appreciate you.”

Cyndi Lauper said, “I am happy to show my appreciation for the brave members of the NYPD by performing at this MSG event. We are all New Yorkers, and the NYPD is such an important part of our community. I am a lifelong New Yorker, and we’re at our best when we are supporting each other. I hope my fellow New Yorkers join me in saying Thank You to the NYPD and their families.”

As part of this initiative, the public is encouraged to thank the NYPD directly – either in person or by visiting www.msg.com/nypd and submitting a video saying “thank you.” Submitted videos may appear in advertising and promotional materials, including on www.msg.com/nypd, The Garden’s social handles, in-game during Knicks and Rangers games, and during the “Thank You, NYPD” event on March 28 at MSG.

Madison Square Garden’s history of rallying New Yorkers around civic causes includes events such as “The Concert for New York City” following the 9-11 attacks, “From the Big Apple to the Big Easy” after Hurricane Katrina and “12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief” following Super Storm Sandy. “Thank You, NYPD” marks the second time in The Garden’s history that the venue has coordinated and hosted a completely free event, following 2020’s Broadway performance of “To Kill a Mockingbird” which was adapted for The Garden and presented to 18,000 NYC public school students.

The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) today announced that Azores Airlines, part of the SATA Group, will join its growing community of international carriers, enhancing connections between New York, the Azores islands, and key destinations throughout Europe.

Azores Airlines will offer nonstop service between the New Terminal One and Ponta Delgada, with access to its signature stopover program and convenient onward connections across the Azores, Madeira, mainland Portugal and major cities throughout Europe.

The New Terminal One is a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey's $19 billion transformation of JFK Airport into a world-class gateway, which will include two new terminals, the modernization and expansion of two existing terminals, a new ground transportation center, and an entirely new, simplified roadway network.

The New Terminal One, scheduled to open its first gates in 2026, will be JFK's largest terminal once complete. The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport is a bold and exciting project to develop a best-in-class international terminal that will serve as an anchor terminal in the Port Authority's $19 billion transformation of JFK into a global gateway to the New York metropolitan area and the United States. The New Terminal One will set a new standard for design and service, aspiring to obtain a top 5-star Skytrax rating.

The New Terminal One is being built on sites now occupied by Terminal 1 and the former Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, where it will anchor JFK's south side. The official holiday season kickoff begins Thursday, Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m. as the beloved spectacular brings millions together to celebrate the season. The 99th Macy’s Parade will feature a world-class lineup of music’s biggest talents, iconic character balloons, imaginative floats and the one-and-only Santa Claus.

“Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the official kickoff to the holiday season and has been part of the nation’s stories and traditions for generations,” said Will Coss, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade executive producer. “The most wonderful stories start at the Parade. On Thanksgiving morning, larger-than-life character balloons, awe-inspiring floats and showstopping performances will create unforgettable moments and lasting holiday memories for millions of spectators in New York City and across the country.”

Electrifying Herald Square performances will include the daytime debut of EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, the singing voices of HUNTR/X from Netflix’s hit animated original film KPop Demon Hunters, and Broadway’s biggest hits, “Buena Vista Social Club”, “Just in Time” and “Ragtime”. The 99th Macy’s Parade lineup will feature more than 5,000 volunteers, 32 balloons, 3 ballonicles, 27 floats, 4 specialty units, 33 clown groups, 11 marching bands, performance groups and music’s biggest stars, all welcoming Santa Claus and the holiday season.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will celebrate its 100th march in 2026, continuing a tradition that has brought joy and lasting memories to generations worldwide. Although it began in 1924, the Parade was canceled in 1942, 1943 and 1944 due to World War II. During that time, materials that would have been used in the celebration, including rubber, were dedicated to the war effort.

From Sketch to Spectacle

The talented artisans and specialists at Macy’s Studios collaborate closely with partners to design, build, and produce immersive floats featuring state-of-the-art effects and breathtaking featured character balloons that inspire joy and wonder on Thanksgiving morning.

This year, four new featured character balloons will debut, including Buzz Lightyear by Pixar Animation Studios; PAC-MAN™ by ©Bandai Namco Entertainment America, Inc.; Shrek’s Onion Carriage from Universal Pictures’ DreamWorks Animation; and Mario by Nintendo. Additionally, Derpy Tiger and Sussie from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters will join the line-up as a mid-sized balloon and balloonicle, respectively.

Six new floats will also debut, including The Land of Glaciers, Wildlife & Wonder by Holland America Line®; Brick-tastic Winter Mountain by The LEGO Group; Master Chocolatier Ballroom by Lindt; Upside Down Invasion: Stranger Things by Netflix; Friends-giving in POPCITY by Pop Mart, the makers of Labubu; and The Counting Sheep’s Dream Generator by Serta®. Additionally, The Elf on the Shelf® Santaverse’s™: Frost Pips™ by The Lumistella Company, new balloonicle elements will join this year's line-up. Towed by Ram Trucks, the official truck of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the debuting floats will join a lineup of fan favorites including Santa's Sleigh.

Ahead of the 100th march in November 2026, iconic Macy’s Parade elements from its storied history will return to the streets of Manhattan for this year’s celebration. The talented team at Macy’s Studios will reintroduce and reimagine beloved balloon elements from some of the Parade’s earliest marches delighting fans of all ages, including Rainbow and Greybow Trouts, the Happy Hippo Triple Stack, Wigglefoot, and Freida the Dachshund by Macy’s in partnership with The Farmer’s Dog. A unique new float element, in collaboration with Goldfish®, will also join this year’s lineup.

Bigs and Littles from Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) will lead the Parade on the iconic Tom Turkey float. These matches will celebrate the partnership between Macy’s and BBBS, which empowers young people through mentorship opportunities and experiences as part of the brand’s social purpose commitment, Mission Every One. Since 2022, this holiday cause campaign has raised more than $13 million.

March to the Beat

Talented student musicians from across the globe will join the line of march, including Banda de Musica La Primavera (Santiago, Panama); Catawba Ridge High School Marching Band (Fort Mill, S.C.); Damien Spartan Regiment (La Verne, Calif.); L.D. Bell Blue Raider Band (Hurst, Texas); Macy’s Great American Marching Band (United States); Northern Arizona University Lumberjack Marching Band (Flagstaff, Ariz.); Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite from Alcorn State University (Lorman, Miss.); Spartans Jr Drum and Bugle Corps (Nashua, N.H.); The Marching Pride of North Alabama (Florence, Ala.); and The Temple University Diamond Band (Philadelphia, Pa.). The NYPD Marching Band (New York, N.Y.) will also join the festivities.

Celebrated choreographer Mia Michaels will create enchanting performances with Macy’s House Dancers for the crowd-favorite arrivals of Tom Turkey and Santa Claus, as well as five featured floats.

Rounding out the lineup are captivating performance groups from across the country, bringing joy and entertainment to the Parade route before arriving at 34th Street for their showstopping broadcast performance. These groups include A CHORUS LINE: The Next Generation led by creative director and choreographer Baayork Lee; Circus Vazquez; Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE; I LOVE DANCE; MOVE NYC; Native Pride Productions; Star Track Cycling; and 1,200 talented dancers and cheerleaders of Spirit of America Dance and Spirit of America Cheer.

Parade Must-Haves & Exclusives

To celebrate the annual tradition, Macy’s customers can shop Parade-exclusive collectibles, deals and gifts ahead of this year’s march. Offerings include collectible ornaments, exclusive snow globe, home décor, apparel, toys, a tote and more.

Limited-time product collaborations and unique in-store experiences with Disney, Marvel, PAC-MAN and Serta will be available online and at select Macy‘s locations this holiday season. Additionally, Macy’s is partnering with Pop Mart for an exclusive pop-up available at the brand’s Herald Square flagship store this November.

As Macy’s prepares the 100th Parade in 2026, customers will have an opportunity to enter a first-of-its-kind Macy’s Parade sweepstakes on the official Macy’s app. Running through Dec. 2, 2025, customers will have an opportunity to win various prizes throughout the season. One lucky winner will receive a VIP trip to New York City to attend the 100th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and a $5,000 shopping spree with a Macy’s Personal Stylist. How to Watch

Audiences nationwide can watch Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade only on the official telecast on NBC and Peacock, broadcast starting at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones. An encore telecast will air at 2 p.m. ET/PT. “TODAY’s” Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker will return as hosts of the Emmy® Award winning celebration. A Spanish-language simulcast on Telemundo will be hosted by the network’s Andrea Meza, Aleyda Ortiz and Clovis Nienow.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast is produced by Universal Television in conjunction with Done + Dusted Inc. Katy Mullan and Liz Kelly serve as executive producers.

To create a more inclusive experience for blind and visually impaired viewers, NBCUniversal is proud to present the full NBC broadcast with live audio description on the Secondary Audio Program channel (SAP), provided by Descriptive Video Works. The broadcast will be available with additional audio narration describing the rich visuals of the Parade.

The 99th procession will depart from the starting line at 77th Street, march down a 2.5-mile route and arrive at Macy’s iconic Herald Square flagship. Public viewing will be available along designated portions of the route and is managed by the NYPD. Spectators should avoid bringing large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, and strollers. Public entering viewing streets may be subject to a security search.

In over 30,000 posts we've told you that Manhattan is the place to be! We happened to be walking by this yesterday and Peachy seems to have a knack for discovering the pulse of Manhattan.

Dedicated, talented actress Katie Holmes really impressed us with her fantastic attitude and work ethic with a smile on her face wearing pants and long sleeves in 100F Manhattan weather when the humidity could not be much worse! Her Instagram says:

I am so very grateful to be working again with so many of my wonderful friends on this film HAPPY HOURS. And working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship. HAPPY HOURS is a love story that includes so many people I adore. We can’t wait for everyone to see what we make.

We do not know Katie but hats off to her, her co-workers, the crew and of course CRAFTY, naturally Peachy's favorite part, for being such troopers in these conditions. Katie, if you are reading we would love to meet you! And of course Peachy is available for a cameo! This year, the Festival begins a bold new chapter with acclaimed chef and restaurateur Jean-Georges Vongerichten joining as Culinary Host. The Festival will kick-off the weekend at the Invesco QQQ Festival Campus in the Seaport with A Taste of the Tin Building, hosted by Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Gregory Gourdet, and featuring music by celebrity favorite DJ Cassidy. This immersive evening will take place inside Jean-Georges’ dazzling culinary marketplace, the Tin Building, rooted in global flavors, cultural discovery and bold creativity, making it the perfect place to launch a weekend of extraordinary taste. The iconic fan-favorite that has served as the cornerstone of NYCWFF for over 16 years, Blue Moon Burger Bash returns, hosted by Rachael Ray and Brooklyn Beckham, presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats. The festival’s iconic burger bacchanal, amped up in partnership with features the best burgers across the boroughs, plus a special hot dog recipe created by Rachael Ray and Brooklyn Beckham’s Cloud23 hot sauce. The Festival’s marquee slate continues with the fan-favorite Grand Tasting, the ultimate tour of NYC’s best bites and restaurants, Southern Glazer’s vast selection of wines and spirits and Food Network personalities. The Soloviev Foundation Welcomes Lenny Kravitz for May 8 VIP Reveal of “Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US”

Opening to the public May 15, the powerful community-based installation honors America’s founding principles through a modern lens.

The highly anticipated Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US, an immersive public art installation made possible by The Soloviev Foundation,  hosted its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 8, 2025. Opening to the public on May 15, 2025, Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US showcases candid reflections on America's founding pillars of liberty and equality through the lens of modern-day experiences.  It was a smashing success and we were honored to cover it.

The May 8 ceremony welcomed special guests and notable community figures, including multiple GRAMMY-winning artist Lenny Kravitz, who served as a member of the distinguished panel for the Future Generations Essay Contest. As part of the evening, Kravitz spoke on the enduring theme of freedom and joined The Soloviev Foundation in announcing the essay contest’s student winners—young voices from across New York City who shared personal insights on the meaning of liberty and its evolving role in American democracy.


Spanning over six-acres on Manhattan’s East Side from 38th to 41st Street on First Avenue, Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US offers an immersive journey through 250 years of American history, highlighting the nation's progress, challenges, and triumphs. The experience is brought to life through 41 large-scale screens that feature breathtaking photographs and compelling audio interviews of individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, social, and professional backgrounds whose personal testimonies represent a rich cross-section of American life.

“Art has the power to bring communities together and open our eyes to our collective strength,” said Stefan Soloviev, Principal of The Soloviev Foundation and Chairman of the Soloviev Group. “We are proud to support an installation that showcases 250 years of American history and fosters meaningful connections and reflection. Path of Liberty is a tribute to our shared ideals and a reminder that liberty is an ongoing journey that requires all of us to take part.”

“Freedom is a vital, underlying right. These students have exercised their freedom in a thoughtful way that should be a model for all of us. I’m grateful for the Path of Liberty to help us reflect on America’s rich history as we approach its 250th anniversary,” said Kravitz.

Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US has been designed by multi-specialty creative studio C&G Partners and directed by award-winning filmmaker, director, and producer Daniella Vale. The installation, which stands as a prequel to the 2026 United States Quarter Millennial, also features an immersive film experience produced in collaboration with the Museum of the American Revolution and Donna Lawrence Productions, along with interactive elements that helps ground the modern-day stories in a deeper historical context.

Beginning May 15, 2025, guests can experience Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US free of charge on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Complimentary reservations can be made now on pathoflibertynyc.com, with new dates continually added and walk-ups always welcomed. Additionally, the installation will be lit Sunday through Wednesday evenings and visible from the site’s perimeter.

Path of Liberty: That Which Unites US expands on the Soloviev Foundation’s commitment to bringing the community together through art that encourages contemplation, nurtures connection, and inspires hope.
