#FashionAlert #RockYourBody Informa Markets & MCH Group join forces to create a new international stage: Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair April 2027

Informa Markets and MCH Group – two of the world's powerhouses in global trade events – are collaborating for the first time. Informa Markets operates the world's leading B2B network for the jewellery industry and organises flagship events including JGW (Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong). MCH Group brings over a century of experience and has created some of the world's most influential cultural platforms, including Art Basel.

Together, they are creating Basilia Jewellery & Watch Fair: A new international stage where Asia, Europe and the wider global industry come together. It's a place where new connections are forged, where industrial and commercial ecosystems converge annually and where the jewellery and watch industries have an intercontinental gathering designed around their current realities and needs.

Basilia will debut in Basel in April 2027.

Bridging the structural gap between Asian supply and European demand

The inaugural edition of Basilia will be held in Hall 2 of Messe Basel and will bring together more than 400 exhibitors. Manufacturers, designers, brands, retailers, wholesalers, distributors and sourcing specialists will gather to explore new opportunities, expand their networks and forge strategic partnerships.

By bringing participants from Asia, Europe and other key international markets under one roof, Basilia provides a dedicated platform for sourcing and commercial exchange. The event is designed to facilitate connections across the value chain, enabling companies to identify new opportunities, strengthen existing relationships and engage with partners from different regions and markets.

Basilia is not a fair that homogenises – it celebrates distinct cultural identities

Rather than imposing a uniform presentation model, Basilia is conceived as a city, structured to accommodate the diversity of its international exhibitors. Its concept reflects the distinct identities and cultural backgrounds that contribute to the global jewellery, gemstone and watch industries. The show will come to life through a series of immersive districts and neighbourhoods: Jewellery Neighbourhoods, Diamond & Gem Districts, Watch Valleys, European Districts, a Swiss District, a Tech Hub and other dedicated spaces. Each will reflect the energy, character and identity of the world's leading centres of creation, production and trade. Every district has its own personality. Every turn will bring a new discovery.

Basel: A natural meeting point connecting Asia, Europe and beyond

Located at the heart of Europe and well connected to major international markets, Basel provides the accessibility, infrastructure and accommodation capacity required for an event of this scale. Messe Basel offers one of Europe's most advanced exhibition venues. Local authorities are supporting the initiative. Hotels have committed the accommodation capacity needed to support its long-term growth. Restaurants and tourism stakeholders are also mobilising to welcome the international community, including a significant influx of visitors from Asia.

Margaret Ma Connolly, President and CEO of Informa Markets in Asia, says, "Partnering with MCH Group was a natural choice. Both of our organisations are leaders in creating platforms where business thrives and meaningful connections are made. Together, we are building a global event that responds to the industry's evolving needs while celebrating the diversity that makes it so dynamic."

Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets, adds: "We go where the market needs us most and where we can create genuine value. Sourcing has never been more complex. Buyers are looking for trusted partners who truly understand the challenges they face. Basilia bridges that gap by directly connecting buyers with specialised suppliers who bring authentic expertise and fresh perspectives. This is particularly important as we now serve a far broader and more diverse audience – from independent retailers to emerging markets across Europe and beyond."

Andrea Zappia, CEO ad interim of MCH Group, comments: "Basilia is a platform designed around the future of the jewellery and watch industries and their evolving needs. By combining Informa Markets' global reach and deep understanding of the industrial ecosystem with MCH Group's expertise in creating world-class event platforms, we are establishing in Basel a new kind of international stage – one conceived from the outset to connect supply and demand across continents. Together, we bring the scale, expertise and credibility required to build something truly global from day one. We are excited about what we are building together."

And because a business platform thrives on ideas as much as it does on opportunities, knowledge sharing will be a defining feature of the event. Seminars, panel discussions and expert-led conferences will punctuate four days of networking, dialogue and industry exchange.

#RockYourBody @onlynaturaldiamonds #WorldDiamondDay #NaturalDiamonds Natural Diamond Council's Inaugural World Diamond Day on April 8 Sparks Global Groundswell

A global movement united 50+ countries to share the real stories behind natural diamonds.

The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) announced the successful inaugural launch of World Diamond Day (April 8, 2026), a global, social-first movement that mobilised the diamond industry across more than 50 countries in a single unified moment.

Celebrations of the first ever World Diamond Day

Designed to ignite a groundswell across the trade, the first-ever World Diamond Day drove a surge in global searches and social mentions for natural diamonds, signalling a meaningful spike in consumer interest alongside broad industry participation. The launch achieved strong global participation from across the natural diamond value chain—from miners and manufacturers to designers, retailers, media, and tastemakers—demonstrating the collective power of sharing authentic stories.

Across continents and time zones, participants shared what natural diamonds mean to them—from personal milestones and heirlooms to craftsmanship, origin stories, and positive impact—using #WorldDiamondDay and #NaturalDiamonds.

Highlights from the one-day event include~ 30 million+ total social reach
300+ participating industry voices globally representing thousands of employees and clients around the world
30% spike in global search demand for natural diamonds compared to weekly average
From April 7 to April 8 ~ 2x surge in #naturaldiamonds

This first-ever occasion brought together a wide range of voices from across the natural diamond industry and beyond, spanning leading designers and global retailers. Jewellery designers and brands including David Webb, Boucheron, Repossi, Anita Ko, Anna Hu, Gabriel & Co., Moussaieff, Boodles, Lydia Courteille and Nikos Koulis participated, as well as leading auction houses such as Sotheby's, Christie's, Bonhams and Phillips.

More than 50 major retailers and luxury independents joined globally, alongside international retailer Signet (parent company of Blue Nile, Ernest Jones, Jared and Kay Jewelers). In the United States, participants included Ben Bridge, London Jewelers, Polacheck's Jewelers, Lux Bond & Green, and Riddles. Across India and the Middle East, retailers such as Jawhara Jewellery, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, PNG Jewellers, Joyalukkas, Zen Diamonds, and Aisshpra Gems and Jewels contributed. In China, prominent names included Chow Tai Fook, Sino Gem, Chow Sang Sang, Zbird, CHJ Jewellery, and Kimberlite Diamond.

The movement was further amplified by influencers and cultural voices including Diamonds Girl, The Champagne Gem, Stephanie Gottlieb, Katarina Perez, and Tallulah Willis, helping extend reach across fashion, media, and digital platforms.

Prominent industry groups and organisations from across the diamond value chain also played a significant role, including the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), World Jewellery Confederation (CIBJO), Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), India's Gem and Jewellery Promotion Council (GJEPC), DMCC and Dubai Diamond Exchange (DDE), Shanghai Diamond Exchange, International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA), World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), World Diamond Council (WDC), Rosy Blue, Shree Krishna Exports (SRK), Bharat Diamond Bourse, Hari Krishna Exports (HK), and Julius Klein. Members of the Young Diamantaires community were also highly active, sharing their passion for natural diamonds across platforms.

Participation also spanned key diamond origin regions, including Botswana, Angola, Canada, Namibia, and South Africa, showing the power of natural diamonds at their source.

The inaugural moment was designed to bring the industry together around a single, shared voice. With that foundation now in place, the Natural Diamond Council is positioned to expand World Diamond Day into a broader consumer-facing movement in the years ahead.

World Diamond Day was conceived not as a campaign, but as an annual movement rooted in real stories, shared openly across platforms, and driven by collective participation.

In a world where so much feels fast and easily replicated, natural diamonds remain a constant. They are symbols of something deeper: time, memory, and human connection. Formed over billions of years, each one carries a story. On World Diamond Day, those stories were shared across the world.

To explore the movement, search #WorldDiamondDay across social platforms or view a curated aggregation of global participation at naturaldiamonds.com.

#RockYourBody #FloridaPeachy Gray & Sons Reviews Certified Pre-Owned Rolex Price Trends Over the Past 12 Months

New analysis reveals stabilizing prices, sustained demand for iconic models, and growing investor confidence in the pre-owned luxury watch market

Gray & Sons Jewelers, a leading independent retailer of certified pre-owned luxury watches and fine jewelry, has released a comprehensive review of certified pre-owned Rolex price trends over the past 12 months, offering valuable insights into market performance, collector demand, and the growing role of pre-owned Rolex watches as long-term investment assets.

Over the past year, the market for pre-owned Rolex timepieces has demonstrated notable resilience. Following periods of heightened volatility in prior years, pricing across many popular models has shown signs of stabilization, with more consistent valuation patterns emerging across key collections. This shift reflects a maturing secondary market, where informed buyers and sellers are navigating pricing with greater confidence.

Certain models, including the Rolex Submariner, Daytona, and Datejust, have continued to attract strong interest among collectors and first-time buyers alike. Viktoria Peshkur, a Gray & Sons specialist with over a decade of experience, notes the consistent demand for iconic sport models: “I would say the Rolex Submariner is always in demand, especially 16610 and 16613. It's a best seller and, in my opinion, an amazing gift.”

While some references experienced modest corrections, others maintained steady value or showed gradual appreciation, particularly those with limited availability or strong historical demand. Gray & Sons’ internal data indicates that condition and certification continue to play a significant role in determining resale value. “Sports models sell faster than regular dress watches,” Peshkur added, highlighting a continued preference among buyers for versatile, everyday luxury pieces.

The analysis also underscores the enduring strength of certain flagship models. “The Daytona holds its value the best,” adds Peshkur, pointing to its reputation as one of the most investment-resilient watches in the Rolex lineup.

The report further highlights a broader trend toward long-term ownership and investment-minded purchasing. As economic conditions evolve, many buyers are turning to tangible assets such as luxury watches, with pre-owned Rolex models offering both wearability and enduring value. Certified pre-owned timepieces, in particular, provide an added layer of trust and transparency that is increasingly important in today’s market.

Gray & Sons Jewelers emphasizes that the certified pre-owned segment remains one of the most accessible entry points into the luxury watch market. With a wide selection of authenticated timepieces, buyers are able to acquire iconic Rolex models at competitive prices while benefiting from expert servicing and warranty support.

As the secondary luxury watch market continues to evolve, Gray & Sons remains committed to providing clients with accurate market insights, high-quality inventory, and trusted expertise built over decades in the industry.

About Gray & Sons Jewelers
Gray & Sons Jewelers is a premier independent retailer specializing in certified pre-owned luxury watches, fine jewelry, and expert repair services. #UpcomingDaylight #RockYourBody #FashionAlert IAC's Gold + Diamond Conference Returns to New York City for its 15th Anniversary with Eye on the Prize

From climate transition to cultural restitution, this year's Initiatives in Art and Culture program reflects the complexity and possibility of jewelry's future.

Initiatives in Art and Culture (IAC) announces its 15th Annual International Gold and Diamond Conference, taking place in person from the evening of Monday, July 14 through Wednesday, July 16, 2025, in New York City. Marking its crystal anniversary, the theme "Eye on the Prize: Towards Continuing Improvement in Practice and Artistry", serves as a continuation of IAC's longstanding commitment to shaping responsible, inclusive, and visionary practices within the global precious metals and diamond industries. For more than a decade, the conference has been a destination for thought leadership, bridging the commercial and cultural, prompting various sectors to consider the dual imperative of sustainable action and artistic integrity. During a moment of extraordinary industry transformation marked by geopolitical tensions, climate crises, technological advancement, and shifting consumer values, IAC renews its call for shared purpose and collective responsibility by focusing on what truly matters: safeguarding the planet, protecting human rights, and preserving the artistry and cultural traditions that define our humanity.

The conference opens on the evening of Monday, July 14, 2025, with a welcome reception hosted by Heritage Auctions at their New York headquarters, located at 445 Park Avenue. From 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., attendees will gather for an elegant evening of connection and celebration, featuring remarks from Roberta Kramer, Vice President of Strategy and Business Development at Heritage. Over the following two days at Bohemian National Hall, participants will engage in a dynamic program that spans timely issues ranging from traceability innovations to new models for sustainable sourcing, as well as preserving traditional craftsmanship. What unites these topics is the understanding that the industry's future hinges on its ability to integrate ethics, equity, and ecological mindfulness with artistry and vision at every level of practice. As Lisa Koenigsberg, Founder/President of IAC states, "Since 2011, Initiatives in Art & Culture has been organizing conferences that provide a platform for cross-disciplinary discussion, debate, and collaboration regarding critical issues in the jewelry, and precious metals and stones sectors. The aim is to engender new thinking, innovative approaches, fruitful partnerships and initiatives in support of responsible practice writ large while championing artisanry and creative vision at the highest levels."

The aim is to engender new thinking, innovative approaches, fruitful partnerships and initiatives in support of responsible practice writ large while championing artisanry and creative vision at the highest levels.

The Initiatives in Art and Culture conference is particularly notable for its broad and inclusive scope, both in terms of topic and participants. From heads of global industry bodies to independent goldsmiths, cultural heritage professionals to scientists, the speakers and panelists reflects IAC's role as a unique convening force—one that invites diverse voices into meaningful dialogue without fear, agenda, or partisanship. Confirmed speakers include an extraordinary group of internationally renowned experts, among them Ivor Agyeman-Duah, Director of the Manhyia Palace Museum and Ghana's chief negotiator on cultural restitution; Charlie Betts of Betts Metals; Rachel Brandrick of 886 by The Royal Mint; Brad Brooks-Rubin, Partner at Arktouros and former U.S. State Department advisor, Laurent E. Cartier, Head of Special Initiatives, Swiss Gemmological Institute (SSEF) and Co-Founder, Sustainable Pearls; Emefa Cole, V & A curator and jeweler.; Nicolas Luchsinger, CEO, Buccellati; John Mulligan, Head of Sustainability, World Gold Council; President, Sustainable Development Commission, CIBJO; and Lucian Simmons, Head of Provenance Research, The Metropolitan Museum of Art. These individuals, along with more than two dozen additional speakers representing every corner of the jewelry ecosystem, will come together to explore how the industry can move forward with clarity, creativity and conscience.

Rachel Perks, Senior Mining Specialist in the Energy and Extractives Global Practice at World Bank notes that the "Conference is a unique event that gathers diverse stakeholders from across gold and diamond value chains. Every year I'm inspired by the remarkable talent and wealth of cumulative knowledge present in the room. For us at the World Bank's Extractives Unit, focused on artisanal and small-scale mining, this conference offers an invaluable opportunity to connect with key changemakers we might otherwise never meet.

A central component of the conference will be the rigorous interrogation of questions surrounding climate action, labor rights, artisan preservation, and value retention in producing countries. With discussions such as "Understanding Climate Justice & Just Transition" and "How Can Producing Countries Retain Greater Value In-Country?", sessions are designed not as surface-level overviews, but as deep dives into the systems, ideologies, and historical legacies that must be addressed in order to build a just and enduring future. In keeping with its tradition of challenging orthodoxy, IAC will also examine issues of provenance and ownership through the lens of restitution and repatriation, while continuing its exploration of nomenclature, traceability, and the language that underpins the evolving discourse of responsible sourcing. As John Mulligan has noted, "The diversity of perspectives brought together at IAC's conference is matched only by the complexity of the challenges we face—and yet within that complexity lies real opportunity to shape something better."

An evening highlight will be the presentation of IAC's annual industry awards during a dedicated Awards Ceremony and Reception on Tuesday, July 15 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., honoring exceptional individuals whose leadership and long-standing commitment to transformation have reshaped the industry. The 8th Responsible Practice in Jewelry Leadership Award will be presented to artist-jeweler Ute Decker, widely recognized for her tireless advocacy of environmental stewardship, fairness in materials sourcing, and the importance of transparency and ethics in the creative process. Decker's work exemplifies a synthesis of aesthetic mastery and ethical resolve, offering a model for what contemporary jewelry can and should stand for. The fifth Award for Extraordinary Contributions to the Diamond and Jewelry Industries will be awarded to David Block, CEO of Sarine Technologies, whose advancements in diamond traceability and data-driven transparency have played a critical role in modernizing the industry's infrastructure and consumer trust. These honorees join a distinguished legacy of past recipients, whose courage, clarity, and commitment serve as guides for the sector.

The voices of supporters and sponsors further underscore the value and influence of IAC's gathering. Arien Gessner of Rio Grande articulates the event's role as a catalyst, stating, "We at Rio Grande believe that meaningful progress in the jewelry industry starts with open dialogue and purposeful collaboration. The Gold + Diamond Conference provides a vital forum where ideas are sparked, relationships are strengthened, and the future of our craft is shaped." Echoing this sentiment, Kat Weymouth, Director of Diamond and Jewelry Services, SCS Global Services observes, "This gathering continues to be a vital space for meaningful dialogue and forward-thinking collaboration. We're committed to supporting a future where the gold and gemstone industries not only thrive economically but also lead with integrity, transparency, and sustainability." Edward Bickham, Senior Advisor, World Gold Council, adds, "The IAC is a league of its own…a place for spirited debate and a genuine searching out of solutions."

IAC is deeply grateful to CIBJO, The World Jewellery Confederation, which returns as Conference Partner, and to its 2025 sponsors, whose support enables this essential work. Major sponsors include the World Gold Council, SCS Global Services, Betts Metals, and AngloGold Ashanti. Additional contributions come from Bulova, Newmont, GIA, Rio Grande, Sarine, Goldsmith's Fair, and DMIA. The World Bank provides in-kind support for featured luncheon sessions, continuing its collaboration with IAC to highlight artisanal and small-scale mining issues. These partnerships reflect a shared investment in shaping a jewelry industry that is not only economically vibrant, but grounded in fairness, responsibility, and shared global values.

Registration for the 15th Annual Gold + Diamond Conference is now open on Eventbrite, and attendees are strongly encouraged to reserve their place early. #RockYourBody #SportyPeachy KAY JEWELERS TO CREATE PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME RINGS OF EXCELLENCE FOR ENSHRINEES ELECTED POSTHUMOUSLY

The Pro Football Hall of Fame and KAY Jewelers announced that KAY will provide a Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence to all enshrinees moving forward, including those elected posthumously.

The Hall of Fame recently shared it would be revising its policy regarding the presentation of a Ring of Excellence to enshrinees elected posthumously. Previously, the Hall issued a ring – one of three iconic symbols of membership in the sport of pro football's most exclusive club – only to individuals alive at the time of enshrinement with their class.

Under the new policy, those members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame elected posthumously receiving a ring are those who are survived by a spouse, an adult child or a parent. Instances where a court decree designates another family member as the legal representative of the deceased enshrinee also will be considered.

The announcement took place at the Pro Football Hall of Fame's annual Merlin Olsen Super Bowl Luncheon in Phoenix.

"True to our purpose of Inspiring Love, KAY celebrates each of the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinees and the love they've inspired in the game and the impact they've made on the lives of those around them," said Jamie Singleton, Group President and Chief Consumer Officer, Signet Jewelers. "We are proud to share the KAY Jewelers' Ring of Excellence with their loved ones to honor their legacy."

"The Hall of Fame thanks our great partners at KAY Jewelers for expanding the ring presentations to all Enshrinees in the Class of 2023 and beyond, while also delivering these special symbols of excellence to several Enshrinees from past classes," said Hall President Jim Porter. "This welcomes all electees fully into the Hall of Fame Family with a ring, Bronzed Bust and Gold Jacket."

The first recipient of a Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence under the revised policy was CLIFF BRANCH, a Raiders legend and member of the Class of 2022 who passed away in 2019. His sister, Elaine Anderson, accepted his ring during a special halftime ceremony Sunday, Dec. 4, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Several other players, coaches and contributors who were deceased at the time of the election will receive rings. The Hall of Fame will announce that list once it finalizes the new policy.

ABOUT THE HALL OF FAME RING OF EXCELLENCE
The spectacular Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence is set in 14K gold with a total diamond weight of 1.75 carats. It is much more than a beautiful piece of jewelry, however. Intricate details on the ring reflect the special significance of enshrinement. The outer diamonds create a "stadium" effect surrounding the football-shaped diamond center.
The vibrant blue gemstone was selected both for appearance and meaning, as blue is often associated with confidence, power and integrity – all traits of these incredible, legendary football icons.
Each Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence is customized to reflect the Enshrinees unique career. A likeness of their Bronzed Bust, along with their position and years in the NFL, appear on one side, while their last name, the Pro Football Hall of Fame logo and year of enshrinement are included on the other.
Additionally, a special arbormark (or engraving) appears on the inside of the ring which is his Enshrinee's number.

Rings of Excellence are presented at an Enshrinee's former home stadium during a ceremony at an NFL regular-season game. During Enshrinement Week in Canton in the summer, enshrinees receive the two other iconic symbols of election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, their Bronzed Bust and their Gold Jacket by Haggar.

"I am delighted to announce the opening of the new Cartier boutique in Amsterdam. When Cartier introduced its iconic red box in the Netherlands, it created a ripple effect that still echoes today, between the city and the unique savoir-faire of the Maison. Cartier's designs connect people in an unforgettable manner. The new boutique will be an open window to timeless design, celebrating creativity and craftsmanship. A perfect reflection of Cartier's distinctive blend of tradition and innovation."

- Valérie Ahner-Boudier, Managing Director Cartier Benelux & Nordics

This winter, a new chapter begins for Cartier in Amsterdam with the opening of the new boutique at the P.C. Hooftstraat 129. Studio Parisien carried the boutique's design from the facade to the interiors, inspired and supported by Dutch local talents.

Dutch Influences
The boutique's playful and welcoming ceramic façade designed by Amsterdam-based artist Eva Crebolder, is inspired by the perfect imperfections of the Amsterdam's canal houses. All ceramic elements were produced in the world's oldest operating tile factory (Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum). Stepping inside, visitors encounter delicate touches such as Atelier Tollis columns in organic shapes. They have been sculpted and coloured as a re-interpretation of the bricks that define the city of Amsterdam. In the back, a colourful wall panelling pattern refers to De Stijl, influenced by Mondriaan and his use of primary colours. Sustainable French oak parquet shows a pattern based on those in Vermeer's art. Upstairs in the salon, ceiling coves call to mind the spatula- centred painting techniques of Van Gogh. An airy staircase opens the path to a dreamy and light area located on the boutique's first floor. Here, a masterpiece by Atelier Midavaine made of lacquer and mother of pearl punctuates the rise from the canals to the polder cloudy landscapes. On the upper level a courtyard garden can be found, designed by the architects of MAAK space from Amersfoort. The new Amsterdam boutique meets the highest ecological standards as directed by the globally recognized Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.

Cartier in the Netherlands
The link between Cartier and the Netherlands dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. Cartier exhibited a number of important jewellery pieces in Hotel des Indes in The Hague in 1925. They were designs that had been included in the Exposition des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes held in Paris that year. The official history of Cartier in the Netherlands began when a boutique opened its doors on the Herengracht 442 in 1975, on the corner of Amsterdam's Koningsplein, in premises that had housed a range of jewellers since the beginning of the last century. In 1994, Cartier moved from Koningsplein to the corner of the Hobbemastraat and P.C. Hooftstraat. Since that first boutique in 1994, two other premises were occupied on the same street in 2007, at numbers 132 and 134.

UltraLuxe, an evolution from JeweLuxe, Asia's most prestigious

jewellery and watch fair, brings a new vision of luxury – a first-of-its-kind festival featuring the luxury of niche, curating the exclusive
and iconic in jewellery, watches, fashion and living style by independent brands

UltraLuxe, anchored by Asia's most prestigious festival JeweLuxe, and augmented by two inaugural shows – the Advocacy Show that curates the purposeful and meaningful, and the Singapore Watch Fair – makes its debut this year at the TENT @ Ngee Ann City from 21 to 30 October 2022.

The inaugural UltraLuxe 2022 presents the 'Luxury of Niche'. The festival brings together a world-class curation of haute design and meticulous craft from nearly 90 internationally acclaimed independent jewellery designers and houses, prestige watchmakers, celebrated fashion designers and living style brands. The festival is supported by the Singapore Tourism Board.

A world-first in presenting a strategic, differentiated and expanded vision of luxury, UltraLuxe is a movement that extends beyond a physical exhibition to an online marketplace, with the aim of promoting compelling talents and passions behind inspiring, meaningful and purposeful designs that span across jewellery, timepiece, fashion and living.

"UltraLuxe marks a pivotal point in the evolution of JeweLuxe. Over the past two pandemic years, the luxury market has seen continued momentum and interest and is expected to grow further this year. The appreciation of exclusive, unique and iconic creations by independent brands has in fact strengthened as affluent consumers around the globe rally behind niche brands in their respective cities and re-looked at their perspective of luxury to support independent talents. The pursuit of purpose and meaning in design and craft is the underlying force that propels this movement. UltraLuxe is the culmination of this trend, converging talents and passions around the world to present the concept of "purpose-focused" luxury that extends beyond jewellery and timepieces to include fashion and living." Ms. Angela Loh, Founder of UltraLuxe.

"We welcome the inaugural UltraLuxe 2022 as an integral addition to Singapore's strong pipeline of leisure events. The festival celebrates the creativity of talents in the timepiece and jewellery industry and inspires innovative cross-industry partnerships. It also provides a platform for our local designers and independent brands to showcase their creations alongside global brands. As border restrictions ease, UltraLuxe 2022 will also offer visitors to Singapore a differentiated experience beyond retail and strengthen Orchard Road's position as a lifestyle destination." Ms Guo Teyi, Director, Retail and Dining, Singapore Tourism Board.

"UltraLuxe's curated luxury of niche is the abstinence from fads and the conventional, which has proven to be resilient where collectibles are experiencing continued demand during the pandemic and strong recovery globally in past months. The festival of this world-class design and craft is the first in two years that collectors, aficionados, the discerning and sophisticated can gather to enjoy the latest in niche luxury from around the world. I am happy that as part of our roadmap since 2017, we are now able to launch a dedicated platform for the best in watchmaking - the Singapore Watch Fair under UltraLuxe. Packed with red carpet events, runway shows and appreciation workshops, the UltraLuxe festival is poised to be Asia's shopping, social and networking season. Coupled with borders opening and consumers investing in meaningful and purposeful luxury before the GST hike next year, we are expecting a strong response for the festival as we head towards the year-end festive season." #RockYourBody Most number of diamond studs in one ring; SWA Diamonds is awarded the Guinness Record

SWA Diamonds, one of India's leading ornament manufacturing companies, has won the Guinness World Record for the title, 'the most number of diamonds set in one ring'. The ring, manufactured in the Malappuram district of Kerala, has won several prestigious awards, including the Guinness World Records and Asian Book of Records.

'The Touch of Ami', the Guinness World Record winning ring by SWA Diamonds

The model of the ring has been inspired by the pink oyster mushroom which stands for eternity and it sparkles with 24,679 diamonds on it. Named 'The Touch of Ami', this ring has made a previous record of a ring with 12,638 diamonds become yesterday's story. Ms Rijisha TV, a post graduate in lifestyle accessory design, from the National Institute of Design has meticulously designed 'The Touch of Ami' and Guinness World Records entered it in the 'Most Diamonds Set in One Ring' category. It took 90 grueling days to achieve this milestone. Capestone, the holding company behind SWA Diamonds played a major role in winning the global award.

SWA officials are immensely proud of the fact that this feat was achieved in Kerala, a place with a sizeable number of diamond and gold consumers, but with very less jewellery manufacturing units. It is indeed a great achievement that this award winning jewel has come from this state and has won this prestigious title over countries like Belgium which dominate the diamond industry worldwide.

''It is our privilege and honor that this ring was made in India and also the owner of the ring is an Indian. 'The Touch of Ami' also marks the triumph of entrepreneurship in the diamond sector of our state,'' says Abdul Gafur Anadiyan, MD of SWA Diamonds.

Capestone, which has been a major player in the gold-diamond-platinum ornament manufacturing domain for the last two decades, launched the SWA Diamonds brand in 2019. Even through the challenging Covid-19 pandemic situations, the company managed to launch SWA Diamonds brand in more than 150 stores, within a short period of two years, say the owners. SWA Diamonds has made it possible to present world-class and uniquely designed diamond jewellery for consumers across the world.

With INKEL EDUCITY Malappuram, a government undertaking, holding this world record, it is expected that this achievement will attract more investment to the high growth industry of diamond ornament manufacturing business in India.

About SWA Diamonds:

SWA Diamonds is a brand owned by Capestone, one of South India's largest manufacturers of gold, diamond, and platinum ornaments based out of Malappuram Inkel Educity , Kerala. In 2002, the company entered the industry with manufacturing and supply of machine made chains to all major & prominent jewellery retailers and in the year 2019, the company launched SWA Diamonds in the affordable diamond category.

In collaboration GIA, the Gemological Institute of America, eBay's 'Authenticity Guarantee' service expands to include fine jewelry from brands like Bvlgari, Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier

As the marketplace's luxury categories continue to gain momentum with double digit growth, eBay announces the expansion of its Authenticity Guarantee to fine jewelry.
