#ArtisticPeachy Getty Images Editorial Photography Internship Program Returns for 2025

Opportunities open for aspiring photographers to gain hands-on experience across News, Sport, and Entertainment, with support from Canon

Getty Images (NYSE: GETY), a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, today announced the return of its annual Editorial Photography Internship Program, created to nurture the next generation of visual storytellers. With support from Getty Images’ long-standing imaging partner, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, the program offers three paid internship opportunities in the United States, focused on News, Sport, and Entertainment photography.

Selected interns will work alongside Getty Images’ world-class photographers, videographers, editors, and content experts. Through immersive, real-world assignments, interns will gain first-hand experience covering editorial and commercial events, while receiving professional mentorship and access to networking opportunities. Participants will also use Canon’s EOS cameras and RF lenses – provided through Getty Images’ partnership with Canon as a preferred digital imaging equipment supplier – for both still and video capture.

The inaugural cohort – Luke Hales (Sport), Kayla Bartkowski (News), Maya Spach (Entertainment) – quickly became an integral part of the editorial team, harnessing their creative talent to cover a variety of premier events, as well as learning the intricacies of editing, event production, client relations and event systems. Their work spanned the Olympics Games Paris 2024, 2024 World Series, 67th GRAMMY Awards®, 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards®, U.S. Presidential Inauguration week and the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport midair collision aftermath in March 2025. Their work has been featured in hundreds of global media outlets, including ESPN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vanity Fair, Vogue, CNN, Axios, USA Today and The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking about the program, Getty Images’ Global Head of Editorial Ken Mainardis says, “After a successful first year, we are excited to welcome a new group of talented interns into the fold. With Canon’s continued support, this program provides rare, behind-the-scenes access to our editorial engine–offering mentorship, resources, and hands-on opportunities to shape the next generation of visual storytellers. Our shared mission to support emerging talent and elevate impactful storytelling is at heart the of this initiative.”

“It’s important to empower the next generation of photographers and help provide support for their professional development,” said Hiroto Kato, Vice President, Business Planning & Strategy, Canon. “We are excited to continue to team up with Getty Images to assist with their editorial photography internship program as we provide the tools to aid these talented students in reaching their potential.”

Applicants for the internship program must be 18 years or older at the time of application. The internships will be based in Los Angeles (Entertainment), New York (Sport) and Washington D.C.(News). They must also be passionate about storytelling and content creation and eager to learn and display a sense of professionalism, although no professional portfolio or experience is required. While the internship is open to all applicants, Getty Images recognizes that people of color and those with intersectional identities are underrepresented in photography and are particularly encouraged to apply. The final three candidates will be announced throughout 2025.

The interns will work as part of Getty Images’ editorial team and will be paid hourly. They will be trained on all facets of the editorial photography business, including but not limited to:Capturing editorial content (photography and videography) from wide-ranging assignments within News, Sport and Entertainment,
Assigning events and client relations,

#PeachyandtheCity #ArtisticPeachy #AndyWarhol Where He Lived .... The Andy Warhol Diaries on @Netflix Highly Recommended

Synopsis
From executive producer Ryan Murphy and director Andrew Rossi, this breathtakingly expansive, six-part portrait of a legend chronicles the remarkable life of Andy Warhol from the intimate vantage point offered by the artist’s own posthumously published diaries. Beginning with his childhood in Pittsburgh, the series traces Warhol’s almost unbelievably diverse journey fluidly moving between mediums and through eras as an artist —both revered and reviled — director, publisher, TV producer, scene maker, celebrity and much more. While he was a larger than life figure, Warhol was intensely private regarding his personal life. This series truly reveals much about the very complex man through his own words — often in his own voice through the use of cutting-edge AI techniques— and those who worked, created, and played alongside him from the subversive to the mainstream, from John Waters to Rob Lowe. Executive produced by Murphy, Dan Braun, Josh Braun, Stacey Reiss, Stanley Buchthal and directed by Rossi, Andy Warhol Diaries deftly validates Warhol’s belief that the idea is not to live forever but to create art that will.

#PetitePeachy #ArtisticPeachy @Barbie @Crayola Barbie and Crayola Partner on New Product Line Further Inspiring Imagination and Creativity, Two Legendary Brands Come Together to Create the Most Customizable Fashion Play Experience on the Market

Today, Barbie and Crayola announced a new product line, combining the No. 1 fashion doll with the No. 1 worldwide producer of arts and crafts products. Barbie chose to partner with Crayola as their products have sparked the creative spirit in children for nearly 115 years.

Barbie and Crayola have a longstanding relationship in a variety of categories, including coloring books and Color Alive, but this is the first time the brands are joining forces in the doll aisle. The new fashion activity line incorporates Crayola’s popular ultra-clean technologies to create unique crafting play with color-in fashions, tie-dye designs, stamps and confetti.

"Barbie and Crayola are both trusted brands that inspire self-expression and we are excited to see what can be created when we join forces. Our collaboration is built on the brands’ shared and complementary consumer bases, play patterns, and end benefits; it made sense that we would come together to develop this new product line," said Sejal Shah Miller, Vice President of Global Marketing for Mattel. "We know parents value creative and imaginative play, which we can enable and enhance by offering the best products with the best partners."

To support the product launch and further inspire creativity, Barbie will launch the Barbie x Crayola Create It Yourself YouTube content series in February 2018. The videos will showcase how to leverage both Barbie and Crayola to further inspire customization and ignite creation.

"At Crayola, we’re all about inspiring creativity through color and customized play experiences, and our partnership with Barbie demonstrates this continued passion," said Warren Schorr, Vice President of Business Development and Global Licensing at Crayola. "We know kids love fashion and colorful design and giving them a way to express and create their unique style with Barbie is a perfect fit. We look forward to our continued collaboration and providing kids with innovative and imaginative activities."

The line will be housed in the Barbie doll aisle and some of the products will be available this holiday season. The full line will roll out to retailers in 2018, both domestically and internationally. The products are accessibly priced, ranging from $9.99 to $39.99.

The two brands plan to continue the collaboration into 2019, expanding the Barbie fashion activity line by leveraging Crayola’s proprietary crafting technology pipelines.

Though exciting and excellent and many things wonderful, Manhattan on the flip side is the capital of stress.  We only report to you on the positive and do not publish on the negative (but be aware, there are negative people with matching taste we unfortunately meet and poor ideas so we could not wait to open this book up!)
We are constantly looking for relaxing activities for our overworked, overtired and generally frazzled audience that needs to enjoy itself!

One of the biggest trends right now that we endorse is the adult coloring book.  We are not trendy people, but as you should know, the coloring book concept is a classic one that you should love.

The adult coloring book is not unlike the kind you knew when you were a kid.

In fact, when you consider that adults colored with you, this is not such a new concept, however Peachy has not colored herself in many years, and not as an adult before now.  As the first of her generation, she colored with adults exclusively to start with and has so always thought it's normal for adults to color.

As you know, we are pretty excited about the upcoming Grammy awards and have been and continue to be honored to work with The Recording Academy. Today, we put up the picture of Peachy and her Grammy. What this picture does not show you is how much Peachy and her Grammy used to love to COLOR (also Mickey, seen here who liked to help coloring). They'd open up a coloring book and each would do one side, left or right and of course the color green was the most important because they are ALL IRISH, and seriously, what could be more important. When FAO Schwartz closed last year, Peachy bought some of the last remaining Crayolas (markers. Sadly the crayons were sold out and honestly, the marker colors are not as classic and good. If you make crayons we want to hear from you...)...and they just sat here. Until, The Little Book of Calm Coloring showed up.

We like the designs and style of this book, and it is a convenient size to take with you and pop in your bag.  We would prefer the traditional bigger size...Peachy had quite the collection many years ago and this is the first adult one she's acquired.  It is relaxing, especially when you add wine or Star Vodka for the F. Scott Fitzgerald in you.  This is definitely an individual book as the side to color is on the right and the quotes of inspiration are on the left.  These are all designs and not literal pictures to color in.  We would definitely recommend this for inbetween periods of hockey games and for halftime of soccer and football games, especially if your blood pressure is going up as a result of the play happening.

The Little Book of Calm Coloring is Highly Recommended by Whom You Know.
Chill out and stay warm inside!
