#TerrificTakeoutQueens : #InauguralReview #PizzaFactory #LongIslandCity by #EdinRedzic and #DinoRedzic

Owner and Operating Partner of Pizza Factory, Edin Redzic!
Peachy's choice
It's not who you know, it's Whom You Know and Whom You Know is and will always be about the BEST of MANHATTAN.  Many years ago when we started going to trade shows...we guess in 2009...we discovered brands from all over the world that wanted to be featured so when they were great we let you know, and we became more about the best of the world in addition to Manhattan.

Terrific Takeout implies Manhattan without a geographic label.
As of right new we have Terrific Takeout in:
New Jersey
Virginia
Washington, D.C.
We ought to have it in Florida and Connecticut so if you own a restaurant there, let us know.
Queens is the first outer borough of New York to earn a column in Terrific Takeout and it starts now!  And yes it is for Mayor Koch and his amazing bridge.

Pizza Factory is by far the best thing happening to Queens right now and though it has been operating since 2017 by owner Dino Redzic, Edin Redzic his son has breathed new life into it as of February 2022 and stepped it up tremendously with his vision for the future, his business and emotional intelligence and his friendly, genuine nature!  Unlike practically everyone else we meet from his generation, he is an incredibly hard worker and cares about excellence and making his clients quite enthused about his work.  Though in his even younger years Edin might have considered deviating from the family business, as he developed his own culinary skills and saw the smashing results particularly with his ribeye endeavors and accolades it earned him personally, he decided to apply it professionally and trailblazed this review all by himself.  Edin has great ambitions and maybe we will go to  his fine dining restaurant in Manhattan someday too as he works his way up; he likes seeing people's reactions in person to the food he creates.

Dino did not know we were going and actually we didn't even know we were going the first visit.  Edin handled everything and he outperformed owners twice his age.  We were in town for another endeavor and we walked by and had the name in the back of our mind and went back right away!  It was pure divine intervention.  Peachy NEVER goes to Queens but she is going now.  Edin was born to do this and he is constantly learning from his dad, Dino and in addition to working full time he is studying business administration in college.

A chip off the old block, Edin is the most unmillenial of the millenials and that is a high compliment completely earned, and Edin tells us how much he looks up to his father whom he considers not only as a role model but also as his best friend.   Dino escaped the Serbian genocide in the early 1990s to come to America and has been in New York ever since and has made a lot of people and their appetites happy. Edin tells us that Dino really puts his heart and soul into his businesses and it comes from the pure love of it and his passion for the culinary arts.  Then we asked Dino about Edin.  "Edin is a passionate fisherman and he even caught a shark!" says Dino, who also tells Peachy of course she should be doing Queens as she is Queen Bee.  Thanks Dino!

One of our friends is into idioms, and another one is too but calls it sayings.
Here's one for both of you:
The Apple Does Not Fall Far From the Tree.
The Apple (Edin)
The Tree (Dino)

By Dino previously:
Paul's on Times Square was last featured before Covid
and Uncle Paul's Pizza was featured this past June

and you know before we knew Dino we knew Paul Nicaj who also has wonderful things to say about Edin.
If you do not know Queens we will warn you it is hard to navigate and Peachy genuinely got lost.
This is what The Factory looks like and this is where you want to go.  Go in the front door and this is down the hall on the left.
Take this Google Map:
Consider it a Treasure Hunt for highly worthwhile pizza.
When you see this you will know you arrived.
There is a hardworking, upbeat team of professionals at Pizza Factory and the Pizza Chef, Pizzero has been making pies for two decades in America.
They even have a Chandelier and you know there is a column for that.
We see seven Parmigiana Hero choices on the menu and if you are from Connecticut like Peachy, you call these sandwiches grinders.  We opted for the fried Chicken Milanese which is expertly breaded and comes to you perfectly warm with lettuce, tomato, onions and beautiful balsamic on a fresh grinder roll.  Every bite was fresh and exactly what we were looking for and the size was so generous it was hard to close, but you will find room in your stomach because it is so delicious!
A standard measure of a pizza review here is to always order a large cheese to determine the quality of the crust, sauce and cheese and upon this order it was confirmed that they all are sensational standalone, complete with a dotting of basil.  It is baked to perfection not overdone and not underdone, just right for Goldilocks Peachy and no she is not sharing with the three bears it is too delicious!  For the Topping pizza Peachy ambitiously chose green peppers, tomatoes, garlic, onions, mushrooms, spinach, artichokes and buffalo mozzarella.  This vegetable extravaganza ensures your bathing suit still fits this summer addressing many nutritional needs in addition to obviously our most favorite vegetable: cheese.  Note that we never, ever edit pictures and you excel like Edin or we do not publish.  Every component was of the utmost quality and we could not stop eating this pizza which completely silenced Peachy.

There are around twenty pasta choices so we started with a classic: Spaghetti and Meatballs.  We might have loved the meatballs the best out of the entire review!  100 percent beef, these solid carnivorous wonders were structurally sound and completely appetizing and probably habit-forming...stay tuned.  The House Salad is a must to accompany whatever you order and it's super fresh with its mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and black olives.  They put the dressing on the side for Ms. Pretty Picky.
So what makes this different?  They also have Sushi!  FRESH SUSHI.
The sushi started in 2022 and two Sushi Chefs from southeast Asia create it fresh to order daily.  Edin surprised us with the salmon avocado roll which we loved and was professionally presented with soy sauce, wasabi and ginger.  It was super fresh and perfect for a hot day in summer.  Peachy nearly melted on her way over...
Also they are open to large orders.  We had two pizzas but really they will make any number you want.  They are open to large orders and have done 600 pizzas at a time for Amazon, as in AMAZON IS THE END USER and people who work at Amazon eat it...not you go on Amazon and order 600 pies.  If you want any number of pizzas or a single pizza call 718 786 1030.
Also we are obviously into music (we always are talking about the latest and greatest at The Recording Academy and you know we celebrated our 27,000th post with Paul McCartney), so we notice if your music is appealing.  And it IS APPEALING at Pizza Factory though we are not really considering that in the food review.  We heard Billy Joel, Simple Minds and Phil Collins doing the Supremes.
We don't know how we missed the Entree section of the menu but we will address it next time...as we said Peachy was in the neighborhood for something entirely different originally but her internal pizza alert is never turned off.
Finally Edin surprised us again with a New York Classic Cheesecake and if you love cheesecake it will absolutely hit the spot!
The line is literally out the door so plan accordingly!
Pizza Factory is Terrific Takeout and we can't wait to see what Edin and Dino do next.
