Experience the Magnificence of Arni Yiouvetsi only at Ammos Estiatorio
We never edit pictures.  We publish the truth, and the truth is it doesn't get better than Arni Yiouvetsi at Ammos this fall!  The top picture is exactly as it looks in real life.
It's not who you know, it's WHOM YOU KNOW and we know Dimitris (above) and Bruno (below)!  We have been singing their praises for over a decade because they're the best in the business and if you have a stomach, we believe you'll agree.
As you know they excel in seafood, but Ammos is not a one-trick pony.  They go beyond the fish and excel in Arni Yiouvetsi, which will tantalize your tastebuds this fall in an extraordinary way.
Their salads are uber-fresh and ignite your appetite perfectly.
Meet the Katsikisia!
A mesclun mix with baby arugula, spinach, red leaf and frisee, this nutritious greenery is not only good for you but also dances in a total symphony of culinary elevation.  Dried cranberries, amazing for the season of autumn, punctuate each delicious bite with panache.  Crumbled goat cheese from Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece after Athens, waltzes with fresh garlic, dill, paprika, salt and pepper to take it to another level.  Dried figs also add flavor and style.
Finally the piece de resistance of the salad: candied walnuts.
Candied with Greek honey, these wonderful walnuts come out of a 320F oven - not too hot but just ideal for the candied feature - and majestically perch upon the fellow salad ingredients to make your day.  Even you, Clint Eastwood, if you are reading.
Celebrate summer and sipping rose as long as you can, because it's not snowing yet in New York!  There are many fabulous Roses to choose from at Ammos, and another we recommend is the Little Ark Moschofilero (the grape).  From the Peloponnese Region in Greece, this pleasurable pink pairs well with seafood and carnivorous endeavors alike.   You'll adore the buttery, rich texture with white rose, stone fruit and strawberry notes that marry together deliciously.
If your stomach is not begging for Arni Yiouvetsi for dinner yet, it's probably still learning how to spell the name!  But in all seriousness, the taste of this dish alone announces the coming of the new regime as the Grand Central Terminal area victoriously becomes the hottest spot in town.
You heard it here first!
Expertly sourced from the great state of Colorado, this stunning lamb shank is braised and slowly roasted for five hours in red wine, bay leaves, cinnamon, all spice and coriander, giving it multi-level flavoring and superlative richness to celebrate autumn.  Joined by garlic, onions, carrots and tomato product, the luscious lamb evidences that it is not only a majestic carnivorous endeavor but also ensures your vegetables rejoice in the day.  All elements are in perfect proportion to each other and orzo lays the foundation beautifully.
From every angle, it is a winner.
Flan embellished with authentic sour cherries imported from Greece (shown below) that perch on top and sweetly surrounded by strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and Peachy's personal favorite, raspberries make for the best finish to a culinary achievement.  Powdered sugar is like fairy dust giving your experience the right magic!
From Greece!
